Hey guys,

I really do need some help here so please bear with me on this one:

Last Wednesday my company's internet went down. My IT guy logged a call with IS who have since been in touch with Telkom. After the second day of no connectivity, I decided to deal directly with Telkom. It has now been 5 days, going on 6, and we still have no connectivity, nor have Telkom sent out a technician. This is a massively business critical issue yet my attempts to escalate the issue within Telkom has been fruitless.

Please all, if you know of any way that I can have this issue escalated, know of any Telkom managers who you have dealt with in the past or know of any other way that I can try to resolve this, please post here or PM me. I am losing so much money on a daily basis and your help will be greatly appreaciated.

Just to let you know, my office is in Fourways and IS have been less than helpful in dealing with this issue to date!

Thanks

DJ Stealth

what i can say is go and find a telkom van or telkom worker and offer them money to come fix it or find someone who can

sure this is not how its suppose to be but it does get results

Maybe get a lawyer to help you?

Maybe you can threaten legal action and that might jolt them into action....

That might be an appropriate avenue if the dimwit on the other end of the line understood the repercussions of legal action. Unfortunately I cannot even get past 1st line support to have this issue escalated...

Much appreciated! Have responded...

Excellent idea. :D

Or perhaps go in to the closest TelkomDirect shop...

Anyone else? Nobody else had direct dealings with Telkom management? This suddenly became pretty urgent for me so any help, regardless of how minor you think it may be will be appreciated and not forgotten...

had same problems with a few of my customers before ended up phoning telkom and IS then phone my service manager and phoned every 4 hours fo the fault.

Took them a week and half to repair it in the mean time i applied for another adsl line to have as a backup line and that was installed 3 days after the first one was repairded.

Can you not connect up by 3G (phone or modem)and work your mail in/out by using that connection

maybe setup a 3g link at work, then setup a Remote Access from Home, then send the email from your work addy but from home..uhhmm now I'm confused.

On the other hand there was a list the otherday on the ADSL section of telkom technichians. I saw Debbie2 helping with it...maybe that would help if its a Telkom side fault.

Apparently we have a static IP address and a 3G card would assign us an IP every time we log on - this is apparently a problem...
