URGENT - screen advice

Hi guys and gals :D

I need urgent advice, cos I wanna buy a screen today.

I am looking at the:

Samsung px2370; and
Samsung P2770H.

I am a gamer and want the best gaming monitor. Reviews suggest the px2370, however I want to make sure before I pull the trigger.

I sit roughly 60cm to 90cm away from the screen, if I push the screen back, maybe I can get a metre.

I want the big screen, but am worried that it wont be as good for gaming as the LED backlit screen

Please, if you have had experience with either or both please let me know what your opinion is :D

On the bigger screens with gaming you should for some games consider what GPU you have. Would it handle the games you play at those resolutions?
 
hey venomous, I have an I7 at 3.2ghz, 4gb ram, with a Radeon 5850 1gb. In Black ops I am getting 180+ fps @ 1440 x 900, so I am sure it wont make a diff (at least I hope not). Which would you get?
 
Both are 1920 x 1080 personally I would take the big one, I think there too much hype in led backlighting. I was using a 32" samsung tv wich got upgraded to led backlight tv after it went faulty, colors may be a bit brighter. Sadly im back on my old 22" as my fiance believes the tv belongs in the lounge.

HD resolution places ±60% more load on the GPU, so yes, it makes a huge difference
 
I would say it depends on your size preference, as there is quite a big difference between them.

LED backlighting is good, sure it is/was over-hyped, but it is the way of the future and more eco friendly, so in a short while that's all there will be.
 
I think there's a revised model comming for the p2770h to led backlighting if you can wait.

edit: im sure somebody showed me a link but I cant find it now so I might be wrong.

hmmm... I think the px2370 then. I am on a 19" atm, the last thing I want is a screen thats too big, else I will fail. I am really dissappointed there are no VESA mounts, cos the 27" on the wall would be epic
 
Go and check out the screens at Incredible. If you have the space, the P2770H won't be too big. Awesome screens... :)
 
my friend has the P2770H, and it is awesome. But I just spoke to a few gamers with nice screens, everyone says px2370. all round better package. It just has to last me 2 years then when new tech is out, like actual LED or cheaper better IPS, then I will upgrade again.

I have the P2770H at work and the T260 at home. You get used to the size, you find its sometimes too small, lol. Although the 27" feels kind of stretched out to me.
 
urgent cos I wanted to buy it today :D haha

I bought the px2370, and omw is it amazing. The colour is amazing, the size is perfect for my desk (since neither have VESA wall mounts).
