And by early, you mean 2006.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact was drafted fourteen years ago and it’s been a thing for, well, for ages.

It’s an approach to the Electoral College where the State allocates all of their electoral college votes to the person who gets the most votes overall in the general election, rather than States allocating them to the winner of each individual State.

They need 270 EC votes to give it legal force; they currently have 196.

That’s it.

No cheating whatsoever.

States like California, New York, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado, Oregon, New Mexico and nine others have already signed on.

But, you know, don’t let history get in the way of you rage-posting about something you just heard about today.

Here, let me help you out:

You’re welcome.
Aren't they screwing over their own voters by doing this?

RNC and Trump raised $60 million in January and have more than $200M cash on hand

(CNN)President Donald Trump's campaign and the Republican National Committee jointly raised more than $60 million in January, setting the groups up with more than $200 million in cash on hand heading into the general election.

The immense figures give Trump a strong financial advantage over Democrats, whose donors are more splintered as the party sorts out a crowded primary field. In contrast to Trump, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders outpaced Democrats when he raised $25 million in January. Trump's reelection organization has fundraised more aggressively than any previous presidential reelection campaign at this stage, allowing the campaign to spend early on advertising and field efforts months before Democrats pick their nominee.

Winning Bigly!

Another ''Who should I vote for?'' quiz I found. This one claims to match you with the relevant candidate, not just the party.

Chose more leftist answers got Trump at 70%

Jissis.....

No wonder democrats lose

Luckily got 75% for the libertarian party :giggle:

Might place a bet on Ladbrokes for a contested convention...at 10/11 (1.91) currently. Tempting, but I'd rather use the money for quicker returns predicting individuals states. Going to skip Nevada, Bernie is a strong favourite there. South Carolina looks more interesting from a betting perspective...

Pity the Libertarian Party doesn't do better in US elections. Would shake things up nicely.

But the current leader attacks Trump way too much from the little I've seen. She should understand that some of the people who vote for Trump are also the kind of people who would get behind Libertarianism. Maybe if they had more money they would make more of a dent, who knows.

Apparently I should vote for:
Tulsi Gabbard - 74%
Michael Bloomberg - 72%
Donald Trump - 68%
LOL
