Simple - you reward your big voting constituencies. It often doesn't make economic sense but it is what happens in politics these days. Most farmers are also not billionaires and certain farmers have been suffering from the trade war and Trump needs to keep them on side.
Yeah that's actually spot on.

But, are you ok with that?

Sure, as long as you just don't think that the Soy meme is actually true.
There is pretty good evidence that eating ridiculously large amount of soy will have the negative effects people claim it does. It isn't too controversial to claim too much of anything is bad. It is the dose that matters.

If you read this study:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20378106

They make a reasonable claim that soy is safe at relatively high concentrations, based on the lack of effects in Asian men who eat soy as a part of their diet.

However, what does worry me, is that the calorie intake of a 40 old Japanese man and a 40 year old American man probably differ by quite a lot.

I'll never substitute meat or full cream dairy for Soy based product. Not in a million years.

There have also been studies on males with higher diets and no "feminising" effects have been observed.

It is just a psuedoscientific meme generally used by some Conservatives to say that men in general are regressing. Which of course excludes the obvious facts that men are living longer than ever before and the average height for men is increasing.

That literally makes you Alex Jones.

There was a guy who drank about 3 liters of Soy milk a day who developed boobs. This was mentioned in the paper I cited.

I wouldn't state it it is completely pseudoscience. The effect is pretty much documented. It is just the dosage that needs to be looked at.

Testosterone is lower across the board and suicide has never been higher among men, despite men being way more encouraged to share their feelings and talk about stuff.

Suicide men is an epidemic that nobody seems to care about, as is underachievement in the school system, and higher education. Women outnumber men on college campuses something like 2:1.

So, yeah, I don't think men are thriving. Of course, feminists will tell me that it is mens fault that they aren't thriving - bleh! Blame game as per usual.

Heck I won't mind if Bernie wins, just for chits and giggles, to see what he does to the country..... :D
I know it's not the right thing to say, but it will be interesting to see what a rabid socialist does to change the country. Obama ran on "change" (yeah right) maybe Bernie will actually fulfil that promise.
