A Ferrari is a luxury. Should a sick person without the financial means to afford treatment, be condemned to suffer and die?

How many sick people have you helped with your money?

Each country is unique.

Have you actually done some homework and worked out how much all his promise going to cost?

Why, in principle, can't America, the most innovating country of all, do what most industrialised nations are already doing?

So nothing then?

No, taxes and medical aid contributions, both of which I contribute to, get pooled into a big fund, so that sick people can receive treatments that they otherwise would not be able to afford.

Would you be happy if say another 20 % of your income went to poor people?

How many walls have you paid for other people? OMG , Peggyboys social spending argument DESTROYED.

Those who oppose social spending should, on principle, withdraw from medical aid schemes, insurance products, etc.

Why not? Should another 50% of your money go to the poor instead if 20 % is too low?

Or just other peoples money?

I think that you're misrepresenting the situation. The question is, why can't the US have social healthcare like most industrialised nations? No-one is saying that Americans must hand over all their money to their government.

In some sense, Americans are worse off than South Africans in this regard. In South Africa, a person without medical aid and unable to afford private treatment can receive treatment in a state hospital, whereas, to my knowledge, there is no analogue to a state hospital in America.

Ok. So you want people to get free care but not with your money.
That's very charitable of you. Excellent virtue signalling.

You passed the socialist test.

Yes, absolutely yes, a thousand times over if needs be. How is this even a question?!? o_O

If you want to help a sick person without the financial means to afford treatment, guess what, you are free to do so with your own money. Leave mine the fahk alone.

I take it you don't belong to a medical aid scheme then?
