Oh, and Wilbur Ross' staggering web of corruption is still there, of course.

Lies, China And Putin: Solving The Mystery Of Wilbur Ross' Missing Fortune

In November 2017, Ross confirmed in writing to the federal Office of Government Ethics that he had divested everything he promised.

But that was not true. After weeks of investigation, Forbes found:

- For most of last year, Ross served as secretary of commerce while maintaining stakes in companies co-owned by the Chinese government, a shipping firm tied to Vladimir Putin’s inner circle, a Cypriot bank reportedly caught up in the Robert Mueller investigation and a huge player in an industry Ross is now investigating. It’s hard to imagine a more radioactive portfolio for a cabinet member.

- To this day, Ross’ family apparently continues to have an interest in these toxic holdings. Rather than dump them all, the commerce secretary sold some of his interests to Goldman Sachs—and, according to Ross himself, put others in a trust for his family members. He continued to deal with China, Russia and others while evidently knowing that his family’s interests were tied to those countries.

- In addition, five days before reports surfaced last fall that Ross was connected to cronies of Vladimir Putin through a shipping firm called Navigator Holdings, the secretary of commerce, who likely knew about the reporting, shorted stock in the Kremlin-linked company, positioning himself to make money on the investment when share prices dropped.

O boy. The libtards useing kids again to evokes emotional reasoning because feels > reals. This is the same as a photo of a dead baby on the beach to try and justify illegal immigration all over again.

Don't want that state to separate you from your children. Then don't be a criminal. Next we should start building family jails so that murderers can stay with their children aswell.

Just curious, if things had to go really badly for white people here in SA, would you seek asylum elsewhere in the world? Would you be OK with being branded a criminal for doing so and having your children taken from you (I know, you don't actually have children and white people here don't need asylum, just asking, hypothetically)

If I have to leave SA I would do it the right way. Apply for the appropriate visa's to work in another country and generally follow their laws as a guest of that country. I wont go as an asylum seeker or refugee.

White people here need about as much asylum as brown Mexican people.

Surprised you haven't done it then, to be honest, given your opinion of this country. The point with asylum seekers is they have no options, they need to escape and have no option for appropriate visas, that's where the humanitarianism comes in. I don't know much about the situation in Mexico or South America generally, but I'm pretty sure you don't either

Lol this is my home.

Anyway the asylum seekers are actually economic migrants, immigrating for better work opportunities than what their shîthole countries can offer. They have time to do it the right way they aren’t escaping anything except the shîthole they created themselves by voting for socialist governments.

We also have some stats. The homicide rate is lower in Mexico than in South Africa so Mexico and most South American countries are safer. So maybe educate yourself before you comment on stuff you know nothing about.

1.) The number of asylum requests by Central Americans is rising because Northern Triangle countries are experiencing record levels of violence.

While the total number of migrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border is near its lowest level since the early 1970s, the number of apprehended unaccompanied children and families is again on the rise after a dramatic drop in the months following Trump’s inauguration. This is a vulnerable population who, for the most part, are deliberately seeking out U.S. border security authorities and asking for protection. Affirmative requests for asylum of individuals from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras have increased by 25 percent in fiscal year 2017 compared to 2016.
These people are fleeing for a reason. As White House Chief of Staff John Kelley once put it, the mass migration of children from Central America to the U.S.-Mexico border primarily consists of “[parents that] are trying to save their children.” The countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras are facing unparalleled levels of violent crime, with El Salvador and Honduras ranking among the top five most violent countries in the world.

So nice and safe ;)

So it is directly comparable seeing that South Africa is also in the top 10. They are just as safe as we are.

The funny thing is that you think that by equating SA and some South American countries you're making any sort of valid point.

Sorry, you're not.

Do you think any South African should be given asylum in any country they wish?

I've already told you, equating the two is pointless. Just as your argument that they are criminals simply for applying for asylum is pointless.

Trump threatens China with new tariffs on another $200 billion of goods

President Donald Trump just raised the stakes in the fight with China over trade.

The White House said Monday evening that if China goes through with its promise to retaliate against the US tariffs announced last week, the United States will impose tariffs on an additional $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.

"Further action must be taken to encourage China to change its unfair practices, open its market to United States goods, and accept a more balanced trade relationship with the United States," Trump said in a statement.

The Trump administration said Friday that it will impose a 25% tariff on $50 billion of Chinese exports. China, claiming the United States had "launched a trade war," retaliated almost immediately, outlining its own tariffs on US goods worth $50 billion.
