Using an iPhone made me realize why I love Android

So a survey was done, whats the most important features to get.

1. Robust build
2. Reasonable quality screen
3. Decent Camera 8mp plus (8mp on SLR was used to print billboards if you didnt know)
4. Headphone Jack
5. Decent Battery (ideally replacable)
6. Processing Power (not too laggy)
7. Price

Then ironically the features many didnt know some of their smartphones had.
1. Augmented Reality
2. Barcode scanners (i use this a lot)
3. You can connect it to a telescope
4. Your camera can see blood pulsing under your skin
5. You can scan 35mm negatives with it
6. It can identify fonts and even restaurants
7. The Camera can be used as a ruler

I just wish there was a decent small android phone. I've been eyeing out the iPhone Mini or SE, even though I've always used Android phones, simply because I want a small phone with decent specs
The Iphone mini (12 or 13) or even the older SE are great phones. With the SE cheap for screen replacements, battery etc. And you can get them in 64gb (which makes it great for jogging and listening to music).

Many forget how in the old days, we had these Gigantic Nokia Bricks 2110 and so that got smaller and smaller, until we watched Zoolander and it was no bigger than your thumb, and then they got bigger and bigger again. I have to say my favourite phone then was the Alcatel OTE 511, It was small, weight of 75g. Great microphone and speaker. Now they have gone to tablet size again.

There is Nostalgia for you haha

I think Apple owners are denialists, becuase 2 iPhone guys I know, pocket dials me a lot. They deny it, even when I record them and send them the clip and show them the call history.
Never happened with an Android user yet.

I want something other than 20 ringtones, nope sorry its an idiotphone.

I've been using custom ringtones on iPhone for years, same tones as on my Android phone.

I think only one iPhone qualifies for the title idiotphone, the one you have. The same tag could be applied to the Android phone you own. Just like you car is the idiotscar and your pc is the idiotsPC...

probably wiping each others unmentionalbles constantly thats why they pocket dial you.
even myself with the idiotphone 12 ive pocket dialed somebody

Point is if you like your idiotphone, enjoy it, and dont try convert us that use a proper Device.
If I wanted something simple, i'd use a can on a string

But you are not using a proper device yourself. You are using a modified device. Modified to the point where your banking app does not work.

Rather show us the screen burn in on that Amoled.

Ha, I wish it was Amoled. But with screens on all day I have to set the display to basic or the power runs down in an hour or two even when plugged in.

I guess it’s just what you’d expect with Samsung shoehorning every bit of fancy kit into a phone with no optimisation with the OS.

If you use Android, stick with it. If you use iOS, stick with it. Once you're deeply embedded in either ecosystem, change is painful. That said, Apple's ecosystem certainly does feel more polished. I'm not about to tell anyone to get an iPhone though.
Apple is like a controlled Fish Tank. You feel safer than Android, however you get those news popups from Apple that says :UPDATE NOW MAJOR RISKS MAJOR RISKS... and then as an Android user you keep thinking...well my info has been stolen anyway so no need to move to Apple for security.

From what I have seen Apple phones are often slightly better, however for that they tend to cost a lot more. I don't feel like paying 3 times the price for that 5% improvement. Also my cheap phone has a better camera. Anyways, glad there is variety! Have to admit Apple's involvement in the industry improves it and pushes the innovation. I do get amused at their blatant rippoff mentality on occasion like the whole chargers sold seperately and $20 cloth fiasco. They are not ashamed to charge you and even design their products to milk you more. The friends I have who are apple fans though seem to find it worthwhile so whatever floats your boat.

What are you talking about? I've had iPhones and iPads since the original model and have never seen such a message pop-up.

Are you just a bit delusional or just trolling?

As someone who reasonably regularly buys both iPhone and Android phones I have found I will always lose a lot more money on the Android device with resale.

Also my cheap phone has a better camera.

Better camera or a camera with a high MP headline rate that you think makes it better?

A) I never really sell old phones. Tend to donate them to someone who needs a phone and now have two kids in that category so I pass on when I upgrade. I do fully acknowledge Iphones hold value better! That is the norm in the luxury end of most markets. Porche's have just about the lowest average depreciation of all cars, they still cost a packet though.

B) Good question, MP mostly, but I agree that is not the only aspect of a phone and I do suspect the software and functionality of the IPhone camera would outperform the Android I use but then I have zero issue with that when my phone retails for 6K and the apple goes for what, 18K to 38K? I would rather use that money for my next car.

My FNB app works, hell even the biometrics login works, becuse FNB realized people gonna root their phones lets not be nazis here and not let them login.
