Using an iPhone made me realize why I love Android

My FNB app works, hell even the biometrics login works, becuse FNB realized people gonna root their phones lets not be nazis here and not let them login.
but tymebank nope, rooted GTFO
Mcdonalds, loves iphones so not surprised.

stop trying to convince me to like Idiotphones @Charlesjjm ,
Its almost like asking an AWB member to hug a Black Person.

aint gonna happen yo!
Dude, I'm just messing with you. You get so worked up, and your replies are very funny. If you're happy with your phone, it's all good.

Reading it reminded me of another thing I found annoying during my short iOS adventure. The back button.
Since there is no back button on the phone/OS itself, each app has it's own. And they put it on the top left (last time I used an iPhone at least). The worst place to put a button on a large phone when you are right handed.

Again, iOS has better apps.
My wife keeps her old iPhone around for the exercise apps she uses, which can easily airplay to our Samsung TV. On her new Samsung phone it doesn't show the option to cast the app to our Samsung TV....

Facebook messenger had some strange issue on the Android phone. It wouldn't send or refresh or something.

Other than that my wife has no complaints going from a high end iPhone XR to a mid range Samsung A52, her first ever Android phone after 3 generations of iPhones.
Use the gesture for back (swipe horizontally from left side of screen to center, Android it's both sides, think iOS right side is app dependent on whether it is also forward, can't remember), on iOS it's pretty well integrated in every app, in Android back gesture works well as well (and yes, gesture, Android has support for a while now (this is the Android 10 version, Android 9 was pill with same back gesture, depends on phone vendor what gesture system you are able to use), it's much nicer to navigate with once you get used to it, probably the nicest step forward Apple has done for phones in a while).

no I need to smash an idiotphone and jump on it and have its battery explode before I calm down.
I object to them existing, 90% of Apple people would love Android, they just too stupid to try it.

hence they are idiots.
You know that cannot be true, Apple has a higher barrier to entry so more Apple people have tried Android than the other way around. Most even work with Android devices beyond the consumer stuff.
That's why your MDM issue is funny, especially if anyone has done Android Enterprise deployments.

Lol at "generic blog post". Zillions of developers use XDA.
Yeah a 1gig download to update a point release. Laughable.
A zillion developers can't teach @backstreetboy about semantic versioning, illustrates my point.

Not really true since status symbol, many have only ever used iOS.

Higher Barrier to entry? because you need to have a certain Enjoyment of stupid design to think its better.
and is it really that hard to do a Android Enterprise development, buy a whole bunch on Samsung galaxy phones, set up work profile for them, there are even MDM's specific to Android even
and thats it.

we even have a MDM profile here for people to set up their Android Phones, it isn't working on mine, because its Rooted,
but I knew that from day 1 and Im cool with that,

Idiotphone is for idiots and that's all there is too it, no matter how you slice the cake, Ive had the unfortunate position of using both android and iphone next to each other, and guess what.

idiotphone is worse, ive given its its go, honestly cant stand it,

I can't imagine there are any iPhone users on this forum who haven't owned or used an Android. Actually, I bet I've had more than you over the years ;)

Lol yes bend to the will of your masters.

the thing is , before my recent experiences with Iphone, Id never owned one, never brought one, never used one, never even held one.
all this hate is from the short time ive used one, and its remarkable how much I dislike them coming from a neutral standpoint.

so either they really are bad, considering ive never had one ever before in my life and now using it for a short time gives me a twitch.
or people just have everything else apple, and it simply fits in the decor, and since I never even owned an ipod even, I dislike it instantly.

who knows, all I do know is try to convince me you will fail, ive seen it firsthand now, and Im never going to own or buy one for the rest of my days.
in my grave I'll still hold my Samsung,

Boet, the list of things NOT working on your Android is getting longer with every post.

Yeah, it's all a bit weird to me. It's a phone

10k phone is a status symbol, sure.

No it isn’t. You find MDM hard that’s the cause of most of your problems.

Yet you didn’t know you couldn’t clone your iPhone 7 due to your MDM?

Not sure why you put that in italics, it is, no matter what your opinion on it is. There is a lot of marketing and stuff and viewpoints held about the iPhone, Apple is a luxury brand and markets their phones as such.

I am not saying e.g. a flagship Samsung Galaxy is not a status symbol either, btw., you'll just find that if e.g. family/friends have an iPhone, the rest will also get it since it's "in".

Italics because it’s the reality, it’s not a viewpoint or an opinion.
That’s true of basically anything, some families only buy Toyota, what it means is anyone’s guess.

I'd bet I've owned ten times the number the idiot user has.

Put it this way, my first Android phone was the HTC Dream running Android 1.0
