Hi all

Here is my situation:

I have a webcam (aircam) and a 3G modem (Planet WNRT-617G) and the CellC Black Nokia USB dongle (CS-19) with a pay-as-you-go cellc simcard in it.

I applied for the unrestricted APN and got it (it took 3 weeks) i know this because i can ping its 3G IP address when i use it directly in my laptop (with the APN set to unrestricted), i can even SSH into my laptop from my home ADSL. GREAT STUFF

But i want to use it in my 3G modem to give access to my webcam on a building site. and when i plug the dongle into the modem and change the APN to unrestricted and i forward ports and disable security and set dmz's (ive tried many options) to try get it to respond to a ping, or forward any traffic. ABSOLUTELY NO LUCK

Do you have any idea what i might have overlooked.

Thank you for your help in advance.

I'm going to see if there has been a firmware update and hopefully that will give me some more options,
its just that if it works in my laptop, it should work in my 3G router (i get the feeling i may eat my words)

no luck with the firmware, it was already up-to-date
i reverted to hardware defaults and tried again, following the manual to the letter, and still no repsonse, this time i tried just doing remote administration of the router.

Hi There,
Did you not put this post out a few days ago?
I seem to remember a similar one.

In terms of solving it I would suspect that the fault lies with the modem. have you tried a different brand?

Regards

Tim
