Vaal Dam levels

Yeah but too late to plant any thing useful now, if they do plant some thing for winter feed, it won't be ready like a normal harvest, but it's some thing and better then nothing.

In summer I use to cut the grass weekly, in the last 2 years I had to cut the grass 4 times, while some green grass is showing, it's patches and it will take a season or two to recover again, the one thing I don't do in a drought is cut grass, as removing the top layer can kill the grass completely...

The North-West has had some very good rain since the start of Spring. I don't know about the Freestate, but NW is doing great ;)

Significant amount of water was released from the Sterkfontein dam to boost the Vaal prior to the rainfall of the last few weeks

That was stopped a couple of weeks ago, and sterkfontein is still close to 90 percent

They fed the Vaal from Sterkfontein for a couple weeks early December/late November if I remember correctly
