Probably your grammar...
Proper grammar isn't something you should switch on when necessary and switch off when you're chilling...
Even if that was valid, your question is serious and in all serious & formal situations proper grammar is appropriate.
The seriousness of your question and the grammar that you're using doesn't match up...my eyes hurt

heck I even use proper grammar while texting...

Tip 2.1
application letters are online... I suggest you use formal language for them too :p
though you don't have to be too formal on a forum and use fancy words like ameliorate, fornicate and sesquipedalian
Just capitalize, use proper punctuation etc.

Tip 2.2
Don't take the internet seriously even if it is serious, Probably life too, Probably :p
I don't think anybody was offended, probably mildly annoyed, its stupid to be offended by someone you've never met.
Don't apologize for a minor transgression(such as accusing someone of being a transexual dinosaur)
Pick yourself up, Learn from your mistakes and drink milkshakes

Tip 2.3
Take Nukefission and everybody else with a grain of salt/spice of your choice
There are very few things in this world that can't be fixed. (murder, jail, iPhones etc)

p.s. The eyes hurting was meant to be a joke with a moral, I'd like you to take it as such :)
p.p.s I only handed in my application after getting my matric results, so no hurry

Lesson learnt...thank you.

im very good in english actually and yes,i always get 70+% so that wont be a problem.

I don't recall if they require this for first year university, however I had to write a detailed cover letter for my application for a Masters at Stellenbosch & UP. I am an editor / corporate comms manager by profession. This means I also a hiring manager. I'd shred your application based on the sentence above, if I worked at the university admissions office. Please apply your mind to what you write, unless you are on IM chats with your friends.

Good luck with your studies. You do seem genuinely concerned about doing well in matric. I hope you take my advice to avoid shooting yourself in the foot for something so simple.
