I wouldn't be in such a rush to get snipped before you've found your soul mate. There are some women who want kids and you would be ruining your chances with some of them.

Bumping a thread. I think one child is enough, and it's time for me to get the snip. Are there specialized clinics/doctors or should I just ask my GP? I'm in JHB.
 
Probably a bit of TMI but just be aware, after mine I've had a significant decrease of sensation during ejaculation and as I've discovered that isn't something the doctors seen to want to talk about. The response I got was that it is psychological.
 
Has it done 4 years ago. No issues. Horny as ever.. but with the added benefit of not making babies

If you go to a private doctor then you have an improved chance of reversing it.

If you go to a State clinic then they do a damn good job of making sure its the final cut. The problem though is its not considered a high priority and if your op is in the hospital then they could postpone it.

I did mine privately and no regrets. Its normally painless. There is a 1 in 30 chance of mild complications compared to 1 in 8 serious complications for a women. The risk was a no brainer for us and even though I was that 1 in 30, I've no regrets. All that happened was I felt a slight pain during the op - I thought the doc pinched my nut to see if the local anesthetic took but he was actually operating. I had swelling afterwards but that was because I wore boxers and not tight underpants. So wear tight underpants. I still have some mild discomfort but that is because I'm overweight but if I think about pink ponies and unicorns for a second, I forget about the discomfort.

Doing the math, if he had the snip at 25 and he's 41 now (as he posted this 2 years ago) that would mean his daughter should be 16.

Yes, I know that his wife could have been pregnant when he got the snip, but no normal motherfscker gets the snip while his wife is pregnant!!!

Because they don't touch your penis, its your balls they decommission. Its only a little tube they snip. Sperm only constitutes 2-5% of your load.
