Vodacom ‘double data’ warning

I cannot wait for the new consumer law to kick in next year...

Then F%$* UPS like this will be THEIR responsibility.

So what if its a glitch. YOU MADE THE GLITCH HAPPEN. SO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT AND COMPENSATE CUSTOMERS.

Jeez.. when I finally get access to that BlueGene @ IRTSO im taking your entire network to the F#$%#NG cleaners!
 
Someone flicked their Seacom switch. And the this big fat cat came stomping through and said, "NO!!! I am still hungry!!! Switch it back!!!"

Nothing new with that!

Around 2 years back I got billed around R7000 for my 3 gig cap. There was a glitch in their computers and it was claiming I had gone over my cap by a huge margin (which I didn't btw). This glitch didn't only affect me, it affected a lot of people back then. Vodacom then made me sign an agreement with them. Of which I had to claim that indeed it was my fault. I only sign because they brought down the bill to around R3000. There would be no point in trying to fight them on this.

Regardless to say I am not using Vodacom anymore for my internet needs. I would suggest to Vodacom customers to do the same thing.

Well pay the bill if its a system error and u used the data then pay. tell me of a system that does not have errors, even NASA has mistakes. At least Vodacom acknowledge its is system error n take responsibilty. Then why use something that you does not belong to u bkz of an error. Will u use money deposited by your bank in error. NO coz that will thieft.

what a joke, they stuff up and we pay!! for all we know they purposely show you as having a higher cap so you go over and they make more revenue to help them out in this recession! Screw them they made a mistake and they should carry the bill. If i make the mistake of going over they dont help me out!

If Vodacom tells you you have 4GB you have reasonable expectation of that and its not then unreasonable to expect an average person to use that much.
It's not unheard of promotions happening which give bonus bundles or extras or perhaps cap increases.

The blame is on Vodacom entirely here.

If you make a mistake, you're responsible for it.
 
Are they going to be charing out of bundle rates for the exceeded allowances?

Hands up anyone who's never screwed up in some way.

When mistakes happen, the best is to own up, apologise, and work hard to fix it. That takes humility and sometimes guts. Vodacom have shown both. What more do you expect, for heaven's sake.
 
Pay no attention to what the critics say... Remember, a statue has never been set up in honor of a critic!
 
****.. even telkom don't charge you when they screw up and give you more than you paid for
