Vodacom Data SMS's getting irritating, REALLY irritating

I still get tons... are you sure you haven't just had notifications turned off entirely? i.e. wil you still get when your bundle does actually run out?
 
I got seven more just this morning. They've changed the message slightly, but the problem remains.

I also had a phone call asking me if everything was now fixed. I laughed at the guy. Moron!

Probably turned off - but I got a call from Vodacom saying the 'bug' has been fixed.
 
I'm getting more and more reminders every day now.

Apparently all the Problem Tickets I opened have been closed without the problem getting resolved. Heather James (CIC) promised me that she would look into it and would keep the problem alive until I confirmed it was fixed. I had a call from a guy in CIC asking me if it it could be closed. I said NO, but he just closed it anyway. It seems now that over 300 people have complained.

CIC now says they are not responsible (despite what they've been claiming) and it "may" take "more than a month" to fix. In the mean time they're "removing" peope from the Data Bundle Notification list, but the 'removals' don't work because even a week after sending us SMS's saying "We've removed you", they keep coming.

I have a feeling that nobody at Vodacom wants ownership of the problem and they don't have the ability to fix it. A sad situation in these times.
 
OK, so clearly Vodacom's 3G Data Experts are freaking useless.

YES I SAID IT!!! How long does it take to fix these damn messages .... I'm still getting a **** load of them EVERY freaking day. Bloody Pathetic.

Believe me, I'm a patient man, but this is ridiculous to say the least.

Does ANYONE know what the status is on this issue? I sure as hell know Vodacom don't have a cookin clue.

I've been woken up by these SMS's since bloody November last year. WTF!!!!!

And I did log the problems with 155:

I stopped getting them when my bundle ran out; but then I bought a new bundle this morning and still haven't received any. I guess this means:
a) they've fixed the problem, or
b) they've unsubscribed me from notifications, or
c) my bundle didn't load properly!

Start using the bundle and you will see a flurry of messages. I got 17 just yesterday, all saying the same thing. Whoever concocted this was high on drugs!
 
This happens to me ALL the time!!!

I bought a bundle that ended about a month ago, now when ever I log on to anything that uses the net on my celll I receive a sms from vodacom... Annoying...

Been using the bundle for a few days now, and still no sms's. So far, so good....
 
I've received almost 100 of these <expletive> SMSs since the end of November last year, with the last one in the early hours of this morning. I've bought 2 new bundles since November and I even let my previous one run out completely before buying my current one. To say that the time taken to resolve this issue is pathetic is a gross understatement. I eventually had enough in December and logged it with the support desk, by which time they'd already had lots of other complaints. Supposedly their billing engineers were working on it "urgently" and I received a notification per day for about a week saying that it was still being looked into and then nothing..... I guess they gave up? Certainly looks like it! Or maybe they ran out of bananas to give their code monkeys.

I loaded 500MB data bundles on two of my sims last night. This morning I got sms's on both accounts stating that I've used 50% of my bundles, although no data was used since loading the bundles last night. Vodacom4me ... experiencing technical problems again ... cannot see what's going on. Very frustrating!

I guess you are using VMC (Vodafone Mobile Crap) software. Use MDMA and the USSD commands to check your account

Vodacomdata please find out which idiot has broken your system again.
I can't understand how a network claiming to be at the cutting edge of technology in SA, continues to have this problem.
Vodacom forget about the 21mbs race with the other networks and get the basics right first.

They never stopped in reality. Promises from this company are worthless. They probably either sacked the guy who installed it or are determined to maintain the status quo.
