Vodacom explains its higher prices

its so ironic, vodacom releases this article yesterday, and now their network just crashed. So what are we paying for?

Just when I thought Cinavia was the most infuriating crap, then Vodacon takes the crown!!!

I used rebug to disable cinavia on my ps3,guess there is always light on the other side but with vodascum after reading all the good from cell c in this thread i will be porting soon.
How do i do the porting thing again :D.Ive been with vodacom for nearly 2 decades :D

Wait till your contract is up, mosey over to any CellC shop, and ask them to port your number.

Ohh my,thanks alot for that as i forgot to backup the latest contacts on nokia suite.
Really thanks for the reminder

If you are on prepaid all it takes is 1 sms from your number you want to port and next day you are up and running on cellc. Contract is more complicated I think.

I just cancelled my monthly Vodascum data bundle on my contract. Unfortunately my contact will only expire in another year and a bit. For data I now use Cell C prepaid bundles loaded onto an older cellphone of mine which I use to setup a wifi hotspot which I then connect to with my vodascum contract phone. No more data money wasted on VC. Whoop Whoop!!

As a Radio Access Network Specialist working on Cell C, MTN, 8ta and Vodacom sites all over the old Transvaal region I see the quality of installations of all the Mobile Cellphone Operators in South Africa. MTN installation quality on their installations are VERY good. They can really boast in their adds about the 'better connection' 8ta is a new network, so all their installations are new. Their quality is also Very good and matches MTN in most cases. Cell C are building a good network, and many or most of their sites are in good order. Vodacom on the other hand.... It does not look like any quality control is excercised any more. They may be the biggest, but certainly not the best, and it shows. Vodacom is known as the operator with the most dropped calls, and worst speach quality and slowest data speed. The biggest perhaps, but the best? :-/

Bye Bye Vodacom, with arrogance like that you have lost my loyalty as a 12 years contract client...
