Vodacom makes HSUPA free

This is certainly good news even though it was expected. I certainly hope scrapping the fee for 3.6 Mbps HSDPA will follow.

Now to see who is first with price cuts ;)

Uhm, duh....

Any provider that charges by the meg should make better uploads free. It's simple economics.

have got the LG x110 notebook with hsupa.

not seeing any upload improvement yet locally...

down = 1874 kbps
up = 321 kbps

Well I'll be happy when the data bundle price drops, this means fsck all to me. If this what the previous article was getting us ready for I'm pretty disappointed.

Well done for noticing this.

Vodacom is raping you in pricing people.. of course it makes more sense that you are able to use your cap faster. In fact, who ever initially put that restriction on is a fool.

Now your blaster virus will rock up more mbs for you :D

Until I see real price cuts from Vodacom I am going to treat them like a gilded snake.

Do you have a data bundle? We provisioned the SIM's with data bundles first.

Having said that, your speeds does indicate 1800/384. 100% sure your modem support UPA?

Vodacom has less 3G than MTN. I will stay with MTN. I get 3G all the time. With vodacom I need to go more in Town!

And i tried vodacom. though activating the HSDPA product is free cause no where it states when dialing *111# that its R49. The deducted my airtime and I didn't even once get HSDPA! What a ripoff from vodacom!

I just saw an advertisment in the Rapport: Gratis HSUPDA vir almal.

It sounds completely free, NO costs.

Well, according to the ads, Vodacom is "STILL the best broadband for your rand". Anyone know how they come to this conclusion?

The same way juice producers can market their product with "100% real fruit juice" when the actually juice is perhaps 1% authentic.
