Let me just explain situation. I can GPRS all day long at work in waltloo, i can GPRS in the morning and afternoons at home, I just cant GPRS soon after 7PM till who knows when (because im asleep) every evening...

Yet again another night of endless frustration

Vodacom3G , any input ?

I paid out of budle rate for 1G even though I loaded a Mygig One on my cell!

I am an online editor and need 24 hour access mobile Internet for work so I decided to go with a pre-paid data package (I didn’t dig the idea of going with another contract!) from Vodacom's 3G and bought the wireless modem! (R2200). Basically I load airtime onto my sim card then transfer the airtime I load into 3G data through my cellphone each month using Vodacom's cellphone data transfer service. I have using this service without problems for the past five months, then all of a sudden, from Sat - Mon last week (29 September - 01 October), I repetitively got automatically disconnected while trying to connect...

I had only recorded 180 MB used with 820 MB of data remaining over the next three weeks. It did not occur to me that all my airtime loaded onto my sim card was depleted as it was only eight days after loading MyGig1 (1 GB). Also, I was getting a good signal but it just didn't get past the 'authenticating' part. So, confused, and a bit bummed, I phoned Vodacom (083 111), provided them my sim card details and asked them why I can't connect...

After checking out my record on their system they said that I had used all the R320 airtime I had loaded on my phone and that I needed to load more airtime to connect.

WHAT THE HELL!!!!! I was shocked. I remember clearly got the confirmation that the MyGig1 successfully loaded a week before and that I had a month to use the data! Has anyone else experienced this problem before?

I now have to fork out another R289 to buy more data and I’m afraid to use their mobile cell service to do this...

So bummed bru!

Airtime loaded, Data bundle purchase

Question?
1) Did you, after you loaded airtime purchase a data bundle with credit you have/had?? If not, on prepaid you would have been charged at R2 per Meg (OUCH) if you did you would have been charged at the normal in-bundle rate.

Prepaid online purchase of data bundle.
1) Purchase airtime
2) Via vc4me account goto data bundles then purchase a data bundle from airtime loaded.

PPDB out of bundle charge

Hey! I have over R100 airtime now, so dont ignore me just cause it was month end when I had that problem last time
Are you on PREPAID? I assume so.
Watch out if you go over bundle you pay R2/Megabyte. At least VC warns you with a sms that gets sent to your sim. Hope you can view your sms's via dashboard sms reader.
