Vodacom Problems: Slow Throughput, trying to Connect, DNS, High Latency

What's going on with Vodacom lately? Seems like the connection speeds are getting slower and slower! Just look at how pathetic it is again tonight:

My connection is **** as well. http://www.speedtest.net/result/560975874.png - download speed fine but my pings SUCKS big time... anything between 1600 to 4000ms on Guildwars

I had NO throughput from about 12:00 to 22:00 today!

Was this a country-wide problem or localised?

Whenever you call 155 and the recorded messages says "We are experiencing high call volumes ..." you just know that there is a huge problem at VC.

interrupted downloads

I've been in Durban and Pmb this week and have been going out of my mind. The vodacom server keeps timing out, downloads stop halfway through (or joy of joys, at 99%) and refuse to continue. Even my antivirus can't update. What the #?$% is going on?

Welcome to KZN - that's our normal state of play - at least until this Friday.

Since then we've been getting nothing. Connects fine, but no page loads. And the call centre has no idea when the problem may be resolved.

Boy I have been having a torrid time with the data connections through the above tower.
This is the first night in a week that I have manage to get a Speedtest done without a Gateway timeout. But look at the results:


I don't know but if the service does not improve I will have to ask for cancellation of my contract.

How can VC expect a customer to pay for this sh*t product.

Please VD, see what's happening, as your support centre is useless.
