I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience as I have today, driving a buddy around to get his cellphone contract upgraded.
Arrive at Vodacom Shop @ Nelson Mandela Square, all goes well until half way through the process, the system goes down.
Grr. Fine, off to the next Vodacom shop in Sandton, system slow, but not down. Half way through again, goes down.
Fuggit, going home. Call Craighall once home, and ask them to put the details through, and then call back when it's done. ( And the system is online )
Call them back half an hour later. Just come up, will get a call back shortly.
Call back. "Vodacom Sandton is blocking the upgrade order, have to call them to cancel the quote that they have already generated."
Call Vodacom Sandton City. Nope, not them who did the quote. Call the -other- Vodacom Sandton City, not them either.
Then we cotton on, it's the first shop, the one on Nelson Mandela square that has blocked it. Cool, we call them. System is still down there, they can't cancel the quote, or move it forward.
Call Craighall back. Sorry guys, they can't cancel it. They advise us to advise Nelson Mandela to call the Trade Partner Support desk, as they could cancel it.
Call Vodacom Nelson Mandela back. "Nope, Trade Partner Support will also be down if we are. You'll just have to wait."
So this is now five hours of wasted time, and nobody seems to know their arse from their elbow.
What do we do next?
