Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Can someone please run a speedtest to a UK based server. I'm getting less than 2 Mbps on my 20 Mbps line. Local speedtest maxes out my line.... thx

I have had issues with VOX in peak times for the last few months. IPTV buffers a lot during 18:00 and 21:00

A VPN solves this at times, which shows me it must be some sort of shaping.

Test with another ISP account. If the problem persists then you may have congestion at the exchange so ask Telkom to upgrade your port.

Things are flying on the 4Mbps capped in a speedtest - but I'll be lucky if I can get streaming to work without buffering on the weekends! :(

Anybody else seeing the same?

I have been saying the same for months.
Every so often VOX say they have reset my account and things fly for a while, the shaping comes back and I have to complain.
I think they shape and then see if any one notices, that way the non streaming clients don't need to be allocated premium bandwidth.

Yes, see my post in this forum about Vox and their cheating ways. They shape traffic but unshape anything that goes to speedtest.

Do your streaming and run a few speedtest at the same time - your streaming will be great.

What? Really? What!

Is this pertaining to their capped or uncapped services?
