Vox Telecom Fatpipe

You have a roll over amount.
I went over my 150Gb usage by 30Gb yesterday.
It shut off my service at 30Gb rollover.
No oob rates apply here.

I don't know when they charge oob rates but I have never seen it.

Thanks for clarifying. Actually a pretty decent way of managing the account.

Vox'ing fraud

VOX has really been disappointing to me the last couple of weeks.

Day 1 when I signed up was awesome, could enter CC details and all is well...until I tried to change it a while ago.

Issue #1 - I tried to change my billing details online using the customer control panel. No can do, only adhoc once off payments. This already made me upset.

Issue #2 - On 3 June created a ticket with reference ATL6838289 which went unanswered for almost up to a week. So I escalated to Voxy on MyBroadband to get this sorted. That was probably the only smooth sailing in this whole ordeal other than sign up day.

Issue #3 - So after the above escalation, Ruth Kekana @ vox phoned me to get the details updated. She was helpful, although I was super upset that I had to give out my CC details over the phone. I asked her to also send me a copy of the details being updated.

Now that was all fine, until last week, when I was on leave, standing in the sun, I received an SMS that I just spent R2400.20 at CNA. What on earth, who spends that much at CNA to start with! Basically, my CC details have now somehow escaped from VOX (the only place I ever gave the details out to since I got this card) who I gave the details to over the phone.

So there is criminals at work at VOX, either the lady who helped me, or someone with access to their voice recordings, or an email admin with access to their outbound mails from the billing dept.

Count me as SUPER UPSET at VOX and the Vox'ing criminals that work there!

ps. At least FNB was very helpful, got the CC cancelled a few minutes after that inContact SMS and I received my new cards today. The fraudulant transaction was reversed the next day by FNB.

Report it.
I'm sure they record the conversations.

That's a fairly shocking story! Geeeees.....

Would be nice to get conclusive evidence as to where the leak occurred!

In my experience the fraud is usually perpetrated by bank employees.

We'll never be privy to such sensitive information but I wonder if Vox has similar cases to yours?

I have made a report on Hellopeter. They responded that they will investigate and get back to me.

I highly doubt in this case it was the bank employees. For one, I am very due diligent keeping tabs on all my bank accounts, and this is the 1st time ever, that I have had fraudulent activities on any of my accounts. It was also the only time ever I gave the information over the phone, usually I don't. It will be back to scheduled transfers for now to pay VOX.

The sad part, it is just 1 or 2 employees that are crooks, not all of VOX. I know how easy it is to just take someone's CC details and use it online. I do hope the parties involved are caught.

Vox may have a good network but the support is really not good even when you trying to give them business. Tried signing up for uncapped bolt-on via their portal which cant be done so sent an enquiry via the website which seems the only way. Also sent Voxy a PM and no response. Now sent an email to help@vox and am hoping somebody will get back to me.

Hate to know what would happen if I had a problem...

Just phone their sales for the quickest response

I have a quick question about the performance on vox, specifically how does netflix perform?

It works incredibly well, can also throw Hulu and the super sport plex app I that category as well. Just beware, streaming stuff at 1080p will chow your data. Thats the predicament I'm in at.

Checked my new VOX account now, and eventually my uncapped is not capped any more.
Well, lets hope the Bolt on thing is not going off my G4G?
That I'll check tomorrow.
Just one thing, don't expect ANY worthwhile support from these guys if you have a problem.
Let's hope all is working correctly now and I never have to phone support again.
I'll update on the internet experience after this weekend.

Everyone happy with a 100GB fat pipe capped account? Looking at switching from Afrislowst.

Working most of the time? No weird latency issues? Good download speed?
