Vox'ing fraud
VOX has really been disappointing to me the last couple of weeks.
Day 1 when I signed up was awesome, could enter CC details and all is well...until I tried to change it a while ago.
Issue #1 - I tried to change my billing details online using the customer control panel. No can do, only adhoc once off payments. This already made me upset.
Issue #2 - On 3 June created a ticket with reference ATL6838289 which went unanswered for almost up to a week. So I escalated to Voxy on MyBroadband to get this sorted. That was probably the only smooth sailing in this whole ordeal other than sign up day.
Issue #3 - So after the above escalation, Ruth Kekana @ vox phoned me to get the details updated. She was helpful, although I was super upset that I had to give out my CC details over the phone. I asked her to also send me a copy of the details being updated.
Now that was all fine, until last week, when I was on leave, standing in the sun, I received an SMS that I just spent R2400.20 at CNA. What on earth, who spends that much at CNA to start with! Basically, my CC details have now somehow escaped from VOX (the only place I ever gave the details out to since I got this card) who I gave the details to over the phone.
So there is criminals at work at VOX, either the lady who helped me, or someone with access to their voice recordings, or an email admin with access to their outbound mails from the billing dept.
Count me as SUPER UPSET at VOX and the Vox'ing criminals that work there!
ps. At least FNB was very helpful, got the CC cancelled a few minutes after that inContact SMS and I received my new cards today. The fraudulant transaction was reversed the next day by FNB.
