Bolt on doesn't run faster than 10meg. Hence why some of us prefer not having bolt on on our fat pipe accounts because when we want speed we can switch to our fat pipe account. Once upon a time it did work on all speeds but they stopped it when they had some issues.

I was also wondering about that? I've only had bolt-on on the 20mb account for the last 2 days but I was getting consistently around 1.90mb/s when downloading using IDM, pulling multiple files, source being rapidgator premium account. Does the limit apply to gig4gig and bolt-on bundled accounts? I don't think so...??

EDIT: Wait, that's probably because my 20mb line is adsl and not vdsl.

There is an easier way to use two accounts as well. Have the capped account on the router settings for streaming and general use. Then just dial the bolt-on account with PPPOE from your PC for your downloads (which is after hours anyway). Then you never have to switch login details on your router.

Correct. I was running it like that until implementing this automated solution.

The 10meg limitation is on both combinations. I had fatpipe and bolt on and had it removed and swapped to a g4g account because I lost my extra speed after hours.
maybe because of the multiple download threads you are getting the extra speed.

Maybe but shouldn't. If it's rate limited to 10mb there would be no way for me to circumvent that restriction. A single download comes down at 1.2mb/s....

I'll run some tests later tonight and post screenshots...

Maybe Voxy can shed some light on this...??

/hauls out answer from a number of pages ago

Bolt-On [-]FatPipe[/-] was designed for 10meg ADSL - finish and
Bolt-On [-]FatPipe[/-] will not be adapted for anything above that - klaar

:D

Issues like me downloading massive gigs with a 40Mb line :D

I've never had bolt-on for that reason though.

EDIT: Fatpipe, unfortunately, cannot be bundled with bolt-on. It's really just inconvenient and nothing more. It means having to swap router settings out between bolt-on and fatpipe. I've just fully automated the entire process though, using perfect automation, a free macro recording and scheduling program.

Wow, thanks for the detailed write up. Can you share how you used the app to automate?

OK, first impressions.
Logged on after 18:00 to use the uncapped Bolt-on thing.
Started doing some test and looked good.
But then, you have reached your cap and so no internet. Huh, but I have uncapped after 18:00?
Phone customer services......... Uhm, there is some problem and they can only be able to check it tomorrow morning.
So, gig4gig used up after 18:00 on uncapped time and no more internet 'till tomorrow.
Let's see if anything happens tomorrow?
Hope they phone me back?

That sucks!

Did they confirm that bolt-on was activated on your account? It doesn't automatically get activated. So you purchase a gig4gig account and then need to request bolt-on be added to the account.

Yeah, someone has fcked up somewhere. Switch off your router for 10 minutes. Switch it back on and log back onto that Vox account. If bolt-on has been activated on that account it should kick in...

One of 2 things has happened here,
1.) They haven't activated bolt-on and you capped on account of burning through the 1gb gig4gig
2.) They have activated bolt-on but for some peculiar reason you capped on account of the usage being taken off your cap instead of the uncapped portion. Could be their data monitoring software hasn't kicked in yet or been correctly calibrated and isn't portioning usage correctly...

Done the switch off / on thing with CS. No joy.
CS also logged into my account and got the same result.
Sucks
We'll, let's see if it can be fixed tomorrow.
I'm not without internet at the moment, as I still have some gigs with an under performing ISP. :)
So looking to move to a new one, that's why I wanted to take VOX for a test drive this weekend.

Okay, here's a quick guide on how to setup perfect automation...
