I been harping on about their bolt-on for the best part of a month now. That is their best product by a country mile and at the price point. Effectively negates the need for an uncapped account.

Can you please tell me what is this bolt-on that you're talking about? Thanks.

guys i need some help here, I bought the 200GB month to month on 6/22

Base Cap 200 GB
Additional Cap 0 GB Adjust
Product Type Generic ADSL
Bolt-on Products None

Data allocations for period: 1/Jun/2015 - 30/Jun/2015
Allocation Type Status Data (MB)
Capped Contract Data: ADSL-FP-200GB Available 60001.00 MB

Bascially im guessing because I bought it on the 22nd therefore I am only allocated 60GB for the month of June

and the 140GB will kick-in in July. But now its the 29th and I have reached my 60GB cap and not allowed to use

the internet, this doesnt make sense since I bought 200GB. Do I need to call VOX and tell them to adjust the cap

so I can use the rest of the 140GB I bought? Or what other solutions do I have?

Thanks

I think you are confused. Month to month just means there's no fixed contract but you still have to give calendar month to cancel. On the first you will receive 200gb and not 140gb.You should be able to adjust your additional cap. Under the data account by the additional cap field, click on adjust. This will allow extra data to come through but you will be charged at a different rate that I'm not sure of.

You would have been given pro-rata for the balance of the month. You can top-up, but check the pricing per gig. it is ridiculous. Also, watch your usage stats. I am leaving Vox, cause for 5 months I carried over data, and yet last month burnt through that, plus 200gigs of top up. and downloads have been scarce.

so basically on the website under fatpipe it states: Out of bundle rates charged at R10/GB

so now in order to carry on using internet I have to adjust my additional cap and get charged at R10/GB?

Is there no way I can make use of the 200GB which I intended to buy in the first place? It is quite strange how they

restrict you in using the bundle you paid for. Is there any other capped bundle I can make use excluding this pro-rata BS?

What's strange about a pro-rata account? You been charged according to the time of the month you signed up and allocated data accordingly.

From the 1st of July your full allotment of 200gb will be available. You been billed for 60gb's and you've used 60gb's so how are you being restricted in using the bundle you paid for?

yeah i get what you are saying, but its the 29th now and in order for me to use internet I have to pay R10/GB, meanwhile I purchased

200GB and only used 60GB? maybe its just me, I thought data worked like cellphone PAYG where you use up your bundle and then

purchase the next. Still new at this, so what do you usually do in a situation like this? Just pay the out of bundle R10/GB?

1. You signed up for the 200 package but for this month will only be billed for 60

2. Sign up for a free trial from someone else to tide you over till Wednesday.

3. Given your rate of consumption, are you sure that 200 will last a full month

def not, I just changed over to capped and was seeing people with 2 seperate ISP accounts. But I just realised if I do buy

another bundle from another ISP it will be the same pro-rata senario. I guess just gonna have to wait till Wednesday..

Nope, doesnt work like PAYG. Its a contract and even though its month to month, you still have to give a calendar month notice(afaik) to cancel. So they will keep billing you and providing you data every month. You dont instruct them when to give you data.
Most of us purchase based on our needs and keep within them.

Very few ISP's offer PAYG data and if they do it is a lot more expensive than contract data.
There is Afrihost. https://www.afrihost.com/site/product/adsl_prepaid?src=website_nav

Anyone else on Fat pipe been "capped"?

Was working perfectly yesterday till their system capped me even though I have plenty of data left.

They are apparently working on it but still no access on my side.

Irony is my Afrihost account is faster than Vox now...

You will just have to bite the bullet and pay the R10 premium per gig or alternatively head over to Afrihost, get one of their 1gb free accounts and top up as you need data. I think they charge R5 per gig for top up which is very reasonable.

Mine worked fine last night when I got home. Wasn't aware of any issues.

2 quick questions:

1) Is it possible to upgrade/downgrade a Fatpipe account from the client portal?
2) How do you turn off the annoying as hell OTP SMS verification on login to the client portal?
