Vox Telecom Fatpipe

If you decide to cancel a vox account is it standard 30 days notice? Like before the 25th or whatever?

Thinking of getting the 100GB deal.... but dont want to be tied in too much.

Calendar month. If you cancel in August, you still pay for September, etc.

I have signed up for the 100GB account special.

I've been using a few TryMe Vox accounts I have left over after putting a client onto a vox MPLS... been performing well.

Waiting for the Afrihost mass exodus to see if it slows vox down....

Got a spare TryMe Vox account for me to play with and test ? :D

No sorry, I've used them up... thats why I decided to sign up. Phone them and ask tho...

It is unshaped but they reserve the right to shape. What don't you understand?

I don't understand why they would shape an "unshaped" account? That's just stupid, unshaped means all protocols are treated the same and shaped means the slowing of throughput through certain protocols...so that is completely wrong advertising as it is not unshaped :/

I agree with you.

Compared to WebAfrica (and I'm sure many others), I'd rather go for capped accounts that could possibly shaped than ones that are always shaped, but you are right, it is silly.

Sigh...

So what happens when I hit 100GB, will I be charged per MB?

By default (thanks to others for confirming this) the account is setup to 'cap' you i.e. no OOB

If you choose (in the control panel) to override the '0' setting, then yes, you will be charged per MB as per the T&C up to the limit (data not $$$) that you chose.
