Vox Telecom Fatpipe

This the email I received this week from a Vox employee :

Good day,



As per our telephone conversation please take not that you cannot link the Bolt-on uncapped with 100GB fat pipe



You can only link the Bolt-on uncapped with 25GB fat pipe



25GB fat pipe @ R89pm

Bolt-on uncapped R59pm set up fee is R50 once off activation fee



I will be looking forward to our response

EDIT : Notice the word our and not your, lol....

And yes, you would have to change it manually but there is a tutorial on youtube to show you how to automate the whole process....

I don't see it as well, the email in one of my posts is from a vox employee, so not sure what's going on....
 
Cancelled with Mweb. Cancellation only goes through on the 1st of Sept.

So I need to sign up for this before the end of the month. I'll be pay for August when I still have Mweb.
 
How is everyone going on Vox at the moment ?

I am interested to know if all the new people signing up has had any noticeable effect on individuals home line performance ?

Will be signing up on the 24th. Keeping MWEB for e-mail etc. If I want to move my line, I am looking at +/- 60days downtime.
 
Based on the positive feedback it may be time to jump ship.

R164 for 100GB looks like a good deal.

MWEB can give you a free 1GB adsl acc along with e-mail

Vox sounds good, will be waiting to hear feedback..
 
I'm fairly new to ADSL and have been with Afrihost for almost 4 months. I signed up for the 100GB Fatpipe that's on special. So far so good, general browsing works well, download speeds are good and streaming videos is excellent. I don't play games online, so I can't comment on that. Everything seems to slow down between 6:00pm and 9:00pm, but I experienced that with Afrihost, Webafrica and Axxess as well. It's probably because the network is busiest during that time.

While I was with Afrihost, I never knew that a 4MB line can be this good!

I would hazard the evening slowdowns you're seeing are exchange congestion, if you experience the same symptom across multiple ISPs. No such issues this side, and the South is usually the first to suffer from them!

Can anyone tell me how the gaming is on the Vox account and the latency, possibly on the South?
