Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Hi guys, looking at purchasing a Fatpipe account, just want to find out if these prices include my line or if it's data only? Thanks in advance
 
8 in the morning and can't stream 720p let alone 480p.
Nothing is fixed, still high latency at night. Streaming works when it wants to. Form 6pm on this POS product is useless.

Since Tuesday things appear to be considerably better. Can reach myBB and stream video without hassle.

I hope it stays like that.
 
Voxy any update on a 20mb (ADSL/VDSL) option for the afterhours service?
 
Ok so im just curious, been shopping for a new ISP, VOX fatpipe looks very sexy but:

50GB R170.00 Fatpipe
75GB R252.00 Fatpipe

How can 25GB cost an extra R72?, even your out of bundle rate is R10/gb.

In this case, why is 50GB that expensive, I think on Afrihost you can get the same amount of data (40GB as they dont increment in 10s) for like R89.
Is it just because it rolls over that its costs so much considering im on a 2mb line?

In this case, its not cost effeciant nor logical.

25GB for R72 is R2.88 per gigabyte. So I don't really get your argument. And on regular capped accounts ISP's make their money from caps that don't get fully used. So rollover is certainly a major input cost to the company and a major benefit to the customer.
 
Now been waiting over an hour on live chat. Going to see how long it takes them, I've opened up another two chats to increase the odds that somebody answers me.

This is really quite absurd how bad the customer service is. If you're going to have a live chat option then make sure your staff answer the chats! If not then remove the option.
 
Sent cancellation notice to [email protected] on 17 October.

In the same email I asked for a downgrade to 50gb for the final notice month of November.

They processed the downgrade but having heard no word on the cancellation confirmation I asked Voxy to investigate.

Someone came back saying I only asked for a downgrade.

The subject and body explicitly ask for a cancellation. Eish. That's low.

I'm speechless.

Second cancellation email sent. Wonder how many are needed.

Well good thing you caught caught it now. You still within a calendar months notice.
 
eish was gonna try these guys (moved from Afrikak) but they seem like a shady bunch

Ja, probably wouldn't recommend them but the issue is there are so few good ISPs these days.

Vox was great until I needed support then it all went very pear-shaped. Also they still seem to have capacity issues in Cape Town even though they have upgraded twice in the last few months.

oh hell no that sounds just as bad as Afrihost.

you right, so few decent ISP's out there. All I want is a decent capped account at a decent price.

Clearly too much to ask
 
Voxy please help me out, earlier this month I activated my Vox account I received with my TV and it worked perfectly, now I log into my account and see i still have 998GB available but when browsing it tells me I'm capped.

This already leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You're not the first to be hit by the "cap" bug. Best to phone them, that seems to be the only way to get prompt service, they take forever to respond to emails.
