Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Is the OTP a new thing on the usage portal? I recall just entering a password last time I was with VOX when I wanted to check my account stats

TL;DR, w.r.t to their billing, i know its month to month, but is a debit order billing system? or do i just need to make payments every month?
Also, whats their cancellation policy like?

cheers.

Be advised that if you sign up for VOX, you need to wait "up to 24 hours" for something called a "T2 ID" before your account becomes active. Never seen this before... Not off to a good start! Even OpenWeb can pull off instant activation!

First I'm hearing of this. I've signed up for 8 VOX accounts over the last 3 months and all were available within 15 minutes of completing the online ordering form. It was only the bolt-on's that had to be ordered telephonically.

Not even a full day and already there are issues:

"unshaped"

Screenshot 2015-07-21 13.20.05.jpg Vox earlier today a few minutes after signing up

Screenshot 2015-07-21 21.51.41.jpg Vox a few minutes ago. Had to use an afrihost account to even be able to post this on the forums.

Seems like my internet woes are only beginning.

Also getting an out of this world 800ms lag while playing dota 2.

Getting 33ms on my regular mweb account.

GG no re Vox

Mine was instant?

Signed up an hour ago, still can't authenticate. Did you hear this from support?

This is actually quite disappointing, such high hopes during the day, able to youtube easily, only to be dashed by absolutely disgusting performance in the evening.

If this is how the network performs, then I'm quite happy that it's a month-to-month

What is going on with vox? yesterday pings started to spike giving me random packet loss.

Woke up this morning to this:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at portal.vox.co.za.

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

10-80% packetloss. 1/4 line speed.

My free WA account works fine

Same here, mine were active instantly. Tested yesterday when I got home around 16:00. Youtube was streaming at 1080P with no buffering, my gaming issues are something of the past, even after forced disconnects or timeouts, I could reconnect instantly. For the heck of it I downloaded a 330MB torrent and it completed in 6min 25 secs, unheard of that time of day with my previous ISP. Gor speeds from 770Kbps and touching 900Kbps at stages.

Tried and still the same. It was working fine yesterday morning. I am still having random disconnects too and a friend also on vox in pta

I realise this is a VOX thread but comparing to your existing ISP is inevitable. When people say this it confuses me. I use MWEB and have absolutely no issues. This always has me wondering if I am just lucky or whether the ADSL line is actually to blame in many instances.

I have a 4Mbps uncapped account with MWEB and am yet to experience problems at any time. This month I am pushing the 110GB soft cap limit due mainly to the fact that I left the XBOX running downloads overnight recently and pulled 18GB. The rest is streaming at all times of the day.

When you complain is it perhaps about something I don't use, like gaming or torrents?

I found mweb to be brilliant in all aspects except pricing.
