Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Home uncapped are just resold IS accounts. Nothing special. They have the standard rating system and do throttle these accounts. Bad thing is you cannot see the level on the online portal so you won't now when you are approaching a level that you are going to be shaped. Don't expect fat pipe performance from home capped. I have no experience with business uncapped.

They used to be. But are they still?

Then 2 * 100 GB fatpipe accounts would be the best value for money as you will get a better experience with fatpipe at a cheaper price than 4mbps uncapped. As the unused data rolls over, you will then build up a nice reserve of data if you have a month where you might use well in excess of your usual 150 GB.

I'm thinking of getting one 100gb account and upping my line speed to 10mb. I can do all my big downloads at work so 100gb will be enough for my home usage plus I get double my line speed.

Can we have 2x 100GB account or is it just one per customer?

Yes, as many as you like.

Probably around 150GB.

I'm at work 8am - 5pm weekdays so main usage is 5:30pm - bed time plus weekends.

Gig4gig with bolt-on is tailor made for you then.

What you get is 25gigs to use anytime and bolt-on for @R148 per month.

Now, I've explained the dynamics of bolt-on a dozen times or more but it's so good it's worth repeating....

It's rate limited to 10mb so go ahead with that line upgrade.

Bolt-on kicks in at 6pm till 6am on weekdays and ALL WEEKEND!!! So 6pm Friday evening until 6am Monday morning. It is uncapped and as far as most of us can ascertain, unshaped on all protocols!!

Quite frankly it is a no-brainer....

You can order this telephonically or via email.

I expect the gig4gig + bolt-on product range to be diversified come August but that is purely speculative on my behalf.

Discontinued?

Their telephonic support is absolutely digusting. Waited 20 min on hold to speak to someone about adding more business. After waiting 20 min on hold I gave up. The clearly dont need the business. Theyre overwhelmed at the moment and cant keep up with support.

yes, ive pm'd cvanwie about this. he told me all gig4gig bolt on packages are now discontinued. pitty!

That's odd. Brighton at their call centre just told me I could get one if I wanteed.

25gb gig4gig with bolt-on @ R148...

EDIT: To be fair, he wasn't overly excited or punting it too aggressively but was quite prepared.

Oh and I was amazed how quickly I got through. 3 minutes from dialing to hanging up...

Well it could be that they are trying to limit that type of account. I can understand it could potentially complicate their product landscape.

Agreed!!

I was hoping they're about to diversify the range. Still think they might but I'm perhaps being naive. Could be they looking to phase out bolt-on permanently.

Inquired about this on Vox's website (through the inquiry form.)

Some guy phoned me 20 mins later. 10 mins on the phone and my account is setup :)

Good afternoon, looking for some advice on this please. I want to get the 100gb Fatpipe account, but it's not enough for a months use. Will it be better to order 2x 100gb Fatpipe accounts or 1x 100gb Fatpipe account and another 25 Fatpipe Lite account with Bolt on uncapped? I use around 200gb per month.

Thanks in advance :)

It depends on when you need the data.
If its business hours then 2x100gb accounts.
If its equal usage over all time slots then get 1x100gb and then 25fatpipe+bolton (Assuming you fine with 10meg limitation)

What's your line speed? If you under 10mb and you don't mind fiddling with your router settings I would get 100g fatpipe and the gig4gig with bolt on.

Oh yeah completely forgot, I currently have a 10mb line. I mainly use it in the evenings after work and over weekends obviously. I just want to play games and stream on Twitch etc.
Also is it possible to add 2x 100gb fatpipe to a single account or will it be two different accounts?
