Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Oh is the showmax issues a VOX issue ?
I was wondering why the experience lags on the website, wanted to sign up for showmax but the performance was dismal.

It's a Showmax issue not VOX.
Go check the Showmax Feedback thread.

@deeznutz

tried ShowMax on IS too, it's p o e s k a k

and @cvanwie; seems its my line, not vox which is even worse :P !

Tried "Obtain DNS from ISP" , it kept it at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Anyways, here is saix speedtest to CApeTown from Vereeniging:

Download Speed: 8352 kbps (1044 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 859 kbps (107.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 41 ms
2015/09/08, 5:43:31 PM

To Rosebank, speed is the same, ping drops to 23 ms.

I'm having constant issues of late with YouTube having streaming issues after 7. Are Vox struggling to keep up demand needs? I'm using googles DNS, but it's still buffering on my 40Mbps line. On 100GB vat pipe.

Anyone else also having issues in CPT?

Estimated time till repair : 5 Hours 5 Min

There is a general problem in Cape Town, which will get resolved Sept 9 @ 2am :) Any/every problem in Cape Town, is due to the same issue.

Again having issues with streaming YouTube clips on my 40Mbps line. Seems to be around this time of day.

I only started using my 100GB fatpipe special this month. [I am in cape town]

I created a ticket for Vox to look into my issues this morning (in progress). Thought I'd share my initial findings:

- Mweb had 2x faster ping to a European game server (BSGO).
- Battlefield 4 local game servers: all over 180ms ping...
- I did speed tests tonight - Vox shows 150 to 180ms (local server).
- I get 11ms with Axxess (used them as I had some data left with them).
- Ping to news24.co.za used to be about 11ms with mweb, its 185ms avg with Vox...

I did some speed tests now:

Vox speed tests:
1) http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4650058686
2) http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4650063395

Axxess speed tests:

Hopefully they can sort out whatever this is, otherwise it's back to trusty old mweb (just wish mweb could get cheaper).

The classic case of everyone migrating to a good deal and then demand is higher than the supply can handle

No matter what I do, no ISP seems to be able to compete with the stability and performance of mweb :(

I told myself I am going to stop trying to save money on ISP's(cause it only gets me to ISP's that frustrate me)... then I saw the good comments about Vox and now look...
