Streamed snooker from UK last night, high resolution (not sure what it equates to), no problems, no buffering, no stuttering.
Rivonia. So I do think this may be exchange and/or area related.
I have no doubt it's a IPC issue but the people in the South are affected more so than us up North.
Side note, this happened sometime in December and I just noticed it:

Thanks.
Just realised it wouldn't help me anyway - FP+BoltOn is limited to 10 anyway
Limited all the time, or is it only the 6pm to 6am part that is limited to 10Mbps?
As with most things Telkom I am sot sure we can rely on the Telkom ADSL Checker.
I entered my line number which is currently synced at 12Mbs and got this:
ADSL Availability
Service Not Available
Maximum speed available in your area
To enjoy a faster surfing experience you can upgrade your connection.
Thanks.

The Telkom one really likes to act up, which is why I like using the one on the Vox site instead:
ADSL/VDSL Exchange Check
ADSL Check Results
Ports Available: true
ADSL Support : Yes
Max Speed : kbps
Congratulations, your ADSL line support speeds up to kbps

Telkom clearly hates you.![]()
I'm happy mine went from 20Mbps to 40Mbps and I notice doubling my speed is only R74 more, that's a no brainer right?
It's a lottery unfortunately. You'll need to call in and have them test the line, as your maximum sync rate is determined by your distance to the exchange. Unless you're 900 meters or less from the exchange, you won't be able to achieve a full 40mbps.
Actually if you check your attainable rate on your modem stats, you should be able to get an idea, although it's usually a couple of mbps less than the figure there.
