Explain to your client with a 1Gbps line your line no longer becomes the issue, the servers do. Remember not too long ago when Google launched their 1Gbps fibre they used their own in house speed test and servers to demo with because no other reliable fast enough server existed.

Agreed and explained, whether or not the client accepts this is his own indaba.

Nice ping there, mine never goes below 21-30ms local .

You should have received an email/sms with the username and password.

It's not your DSL username and password.

Anyone else noticing horribly slow international speeds via Vox this evening? My fibre is barely getting past 30mbps down/20mbps up to London, and 15mbps down/10mbps up to NY.

Hi guys...

I've been having bad speeds from the weekend on the vox network. Have a 40Mbps VDSL line, but speeds are slow and my IPTV service is struggling as well.

My pings are bad and the speed varies between 10 and 20Mbps, but mostly in the low 10s.

I wonder if I'm the only one since this thread is dead quiet.

Is Vox affected by the Seacom outage? My international speeds have been fine so far until today - it is now really slow.

I still haven't noticed anything different and the last time Seacom had issues Vox was also unaffected because they had more than enough capacity on SAT3 and SAFE.

Speeds have been fine so far.
With a repair date yet to be confirmed, thought maybe it was eventually affecting my speeds.

From the weekend passed till today my speeds were crap.. Even on speedtest it showed that.

Did 3 tests now and this is what I got





Still over the place. Telkom checked my line and all is fine there... sigh
