I used an Axxess account recently and it worked well compared to the new Afrihost ones.
 
Vox pretty useless the last few months. Have to reboot every evening...nowadays a few times. And this is just for browsing, not even downloading. Tried other backup ISP accounts, and they are much better.
It's cheap, but starting to feel not worth the little I do pay.

Woildn't bother.

They will tell you that there is a "problem with your ports" and to contact telkom about it. Which is utter crap since many people then switch to other ISP accounts and then everything is fine. ISPs are a real scummy bunch.

I did the same, and I am back with Afrihost for quite a few months now. Glad to be back, service is good (not great). But like you, I simply could not stand the vox experience and would rather tolerate Afrihost's relatively minor mishaps.

My aunt in Musgrave,Durban wants to install Vox R99pm ADSL. Im sure the max she will use is 10Gb per month. She is a pensioner
I just want to know if the 1Mb line is ok to stream Youtube videos at low resolution.
I know its sufficient for web browsing...im just worried about the video streaming...otherwise she will phone me and complain bcos im her IT technician(according to her)

AFAIK 2Mb line is the lowest. But you may get better value for money if you go mobile and only need 10GB.

Is that R99 inclusive of ADSL line rental ?
