Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Like i do not get do some of you really think just because it is a Telcom problem Vox should be excused? are you for real?

When vodacom keeps dropping your calls, are you going to blame the person trying to call you or are you going to blame vodacom?
(Because, in this analogy, you're blaming the caller, not the service provider...which is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds.)

If he still believes that Vox is to blame for telkom issues after it's been explained, he better say so in this thread...so that the other forumites can see what an idiot looks like :D:p (I have faith, though, that he'll understand it better now...and throw some of that anger to where it belongs: telkom  )

Rebooted ONT and router and PPPOE seems stuffed. Not even getting a WAN IP.

Anyone else?

Maybe something wrong with your router? I connect my pc direct to the ONT with a 1Gbps switch so I can dial the PPPoE connections from my pc. It's fine this side. Try dialing a pppoe connection directly from the pc or laptop plugged directly into the ONT.

It was fine this morning so nothing wrong with the router.

Phone lines are down in the area so maybe a general Telkom fault. I'm not gonna fiddle with the hardware for now.

Could be a cable break somewhere.

I seem to be having some really nasty latency issues. It is hell transferring files over a FTP connections to an overseas server. Hell working on SSH sessions to overseas servers... EISH... Web sites also lazy and unresponsive when loading them... Feels like we're back to the days of dialup. :(
