VPN issues with Telkom ISP

Is anyone else having slowing connectivity when using VPN on Telkom?

We use Citrix to work on a remote desktop session and work has confirmed that the issue is isolated to Telkom ISP.

Already logged a call with Telkom, so this post is just for curiosity's sake I guess.

Which APN are you using? I think the unrestricted APN is better for such connections.
I use Wireguard and OpenVPN. Both are working fine.

I have now changed it to unrestricted, didn't think of that. Works fine now but the issue creeps in at about 9am or so onwards. My network's ping and Speedtest are normal and so are the stats of my affected colleagues.

Will see how it runs tomorrow. Will also see if Telkom phones me back...

It's been like this since LTE came about, we have this documented on our organisation VPN guide for some time now.
