VPS DNS resolution problem

All our websites was moved to a VPS with cPanel solution from our Dedicated Server. The DNS configuration on the VPS was done so it uses the same DNS names as the previous Dedicated Server. This was done to avoid manually changing every domain's DNS record at the domain registrar. Previous server still online using same DNS.

Result: Three days later some people can access the websites and some cannot, some can use their email and some cannot, resulting in unhappy clients and business losses of thousands of rands. Propagation has taken place and this is clearly another issue.

All IP tests and Ping tests are fine. Sites show on sites like pagewash.com. Clearing browser cache, restarting modems, restarting pc's, flushing pc dns records... nothing helps.

When using mxtoolbox.com it shows two "Unable to connect to the remote server" errors.

The VPS provider is enjoying their weekend, no support from their side.

There is a huge gap in the market for anyone who can provide a working VPS with cPanel solution.
Some large web companies do not offer this product, some admit they cannot get it working reliably, some advertise it but when you order it they never set it up, some claim to be experts at it but then it does not work...

Anyone with the knowledge to resolve this, please contact me urgently. Payment provided.

Hi,

Do you have access to your DNS? Can you login and change A records.

Maybe the DNS that the Domains point to already is not pointing A records to your VPS IP address.

Sorry i didn't get all the info that you may have wanted to convey.

Regards,

This problem was resolved / have gone away. Thank you for the replies. Not clear if any settings that were changed made the difference or if it was a very long propagation period especially when the cellular networks were used to access the internet and email. Our VPS is NOT with Afrihost but maybe our problem was related to this: See the comments at http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadband/85553-afrihost-internet-problems.html.
