These ISP's any good?
 
I spoke to a guy at ISP afrika, asking about some other different sized capped packages.
20Mbps 150 Gigs- R649
50Mbps 200Gigs – R799
100 Mbps 300gigs – R999
 
I've heard good things about ISPAfrika, mostly on this forum. Mind you exclusively on this forum.

Hope they going to add 1 or 2 other options.

Would love a 300gb VOX capped account @ 100Mbps for around R750... similar to what Fibrehoods/VOX offer their subscribers...

Not bad. You can pen me in for a 50Mbps 200Gig account. Wonder if there is rollover and free data between 12am-6am?
 
I spoke to Alfie last week, Vox is definitely one of them. I think he mentioned webafrica and mweb also
 
Site's been updated with specific roll-out time frames. I'm Sector 9, Aug 1st-11th... :)

Wish they hurry up with further details re the outstanding ISP's.
 
Have just sent a request to Alfi re the other ISPs. Would prefer to have AfriHost and Vox on the list, but have heard that Afrihost has some alignment with Hellkom Fibre?

My street is scheduled in S6 so if 2 current ISP's are only ones on the list when closer to fiber deployment time, I will be forced to choose one but on a month by month basis until the other ISPs join up..
 
I mailed him a week ago to re ISPs. No feedback yet. I really hope Vox is on with fibrehood type pricing. 300gb at 100mbps for R750 and we a go.

Did Alfie ever get back to you re ISP's?

Mind you, I'm not sure I care anymore anyway. My Telkom LTE uncapped account @R599 per month is still running like a dream...



Norwood precinct well covered too, including your S6 sector. You could get this uncapped account for R799. Only catch is 24 month contract.

Invitation to a Q&A session with VulaCom and the ISP's

The second Community Information Session with VulaCom and the represented ISP's will be held on Wednesday, June 15th between 17:30 to 19:00 for Zones 4 to 9 (http://www.vulacom.com/#maps). Targeted mailers has been sent to all stakeholders that have completed web enquiries or that have applied for service quotations from the ISP’s.

The Q&A will be held at the Factory on Grant Avenue at the upstairs venue: www.thefactoryongrant.co.za. The sessions will be informative and interactive and we’ll be able to address all possible questions you might have regarding the fibre deployment process and progress.

In addition, questions may be sent in advance via email [email protected] by Tuesday,
June 14th at 15.00 pm. The contact information is gathered for registration purposes only and it is not used for commercial purposes.
