Wandavision

Bit of a marvel fanboy now.... First three episodes were a bit poo imo, but with just enough eerie/weird/creepy thrown in to hook... Ep4 and 5, things just got reeeeeal interesting. Think the writer and director are very good stringing us along.

Bloody hooked now, hope they nail the landing (ending)!

Called it? Loved the fact that the show referenced her fight with Thanos as they touch on how powerful she actually is.

Just binged all 5 episodes and absolutely love it.

The meta recasting of Quicksilver - her brother - looks like the lead up to the X-Men joining the MCU in the next phase.

Also, interested to find out who they sent through the sewerage network in to the Hex. Surely it would not have been a run-of-the-mill field agent?

I'm loving it.
Started slow but speeding up.

I think they are going to do a reverse House of M storyline. In that story Wanda changed all of reality and history on earth, and it ended with her putting things back but also wiping out 99% of all mutants in the universe. I think they will do the opposite: when she has her final snap, she's going to bring mutants into the MCU.
Merging the Fox X-men universe into the MCU.

Instant mutants for everyone.

Not the Fantastic Four...Magneto calling his daugher back...Scarlet Witch is a mutant after all and the daughter of Magneto. I haven't watched the series yet, but with the Quantum Realm, and other realms being hinted at in past MCU movies leading up to End Game, she might be opening these to the mainstream MCU continuity.
AND...she has done some weird stuff in the comics like stripping nearly all the mutants on earth of their powers and ushering in House of M after her kids died...and she has kids in this series!
Not this Scarlet Witch though, she gained her powers through experimentation and exposure to the Mind Stone, otherwise she was just a normal human.

There were no mutants in the MCU.

The ending of episode 5 sees the first appearance of a mutant in the MCU.

@PeterPan420

Or, other dimensions. /Cough, Multiverse. There is still mystery surrounding Wanda, she didn't expect another brother.

The existence of the multiverse has all but been confirmed with Spider-Man. Both Maguire and Garfield will be reprising their respective Spider-Men in the third MCU Spider-Man film alongside Holland's Spider-Man.

:) Fully aware there were no mutants in the MCU due to them not having the rights. BUT...they can still follow the comics and House of M in a way.

Bruh...That scene between Vision and Agnes on Ellis Street.

Agnes is Agatha Harkness? Dressed as a witch for Halloween and the cackle laugh. In the comics she mentors Scarlet Witch in exploring her magical powers. Remember in a previous episode where she breaks character and asks Wanda if they must ''take it from the top'', leading to Vision questioning Wanda about how weird that was. She knows what is going on because she probably helped Wanda start all of this and now wants out because she realised Wanda is getting out of control.

Also, Agatha Harkness has ties to the Fantastic Four, notably as caretaker to Franklin Richards. Another tie-in route? This series could single-handedly introduce both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to the MCU.

The theory of Mephisto being the next major villain is also gaining traction.

Wanda's kids. In the comics, Wanda uses fragments of Mephisto's soul when she conceives her kids and Mephisto later reabsorbs them, driving Wanda insane. Some potential allusions to this from Quicksilver in Episode 6 when he playfully refers to her kids as ''Hell spawn'' and tells them to ''Give them hell!''. Mephisto is literally a demon that calls his realm Hell.

Mephisto's powers also include projecting illusions, manipulating memories and drumroll, shapeshifting. You know how Quicksilver struggles with his memories, looks different and is always asking Wanda questions? Wanda herself has issues with her memories, not knowing how everything in Westview started and can't understand why her brother looks different among others. Mephisto is also drawn to chaos and sources of evil. Now Wanda may not be evil, but the existence of her kids and the fact that there is a lot of dark use of magic in Westview may have ''summoned'' Mephisto to earth and he has infiltrated her world via Quicksilver/Pietro.

Enjoying this show - didnt even mind the whole sitcom start, it was unusual and an interesting way to get this series going.

I was going to give it a miss because of the sitcom thing. The reviews based on the last few episodes have changed my mind.

Will have to start watching this tonight, but if this isn't an indication that Magneto will appear, along with the mutants, then I don't know.
I have said for a while now (to friends and on the forum) that this is the mechanism to introduce mutants to the MCU, bearing in mind how Scarlett Witch stuffed up things in House of M. They're going to reverse engineer this, and I will run down the street shouting with joy...

You shouldn’t share those Screen Culture promos. They are fake.

I’m also struggling.
Agree, decided to give it a go due to the comments on here but I can't stand the overacting, forced laughter & unfunny jokes, had me almost delete it.

Some say ep3/4 changes everything & I have it downloaded already so will give it one more go, but I'm not that desperate this is painful to watch.

Something to think about with Moncia's changing cells as well after her time in the Hex. Could the Hex perhaps be mutating people?
