WAR - Which servers?

Well if you're in the Centurion area, i got a EU client. You can buy keys online at http://www.gamersloot.com , usually within an hour you get your keys.

I think companies like BTGames must suffer alot with these kinds of delays as people end up buying it elsewhere.

Also, i've just read , they are already cloning some of the EU servers ....that should give you an indication of popularity.

Fk it, I'll stay on WoW for the time being then. Fk EA games I'll show them ;)
Its not EA who is delaying, Its GOA who is responsible for EU distribution (French Telecoms... should say enough)

I think they should have done that ages ago. How big is the EU area, compared to the US area, and look how many servers the US had ready for launch. They also still dont have their billing system setup ????

I guess we can just be lucky SAIX isn't in charge, could you imagine:eek:

Any which way, they aint seeing cent of my money. Sorry guys But I'll pass on WAR thanx. I was very hyped for it, but now this.... Sorry it's not a good start. And I have made my decision ;)

LOL... you do know your just trying to justify it to yourself right :D

I will say at least they are half way in the right direction. I mean how long did it take WOW to arrive on SA shores? Never mind all the other things we had to wait months if not years for. Though who in their right minds would put a telecoms company in charge of something

EDIT: ROFLOL.. just found this about france telecom on wiki. Who does it sound like?
In 2004 France Télécom is likely to have to pay back €1 billion in alleged unlawful subsidies (in breach of state aid rules) it received from the French government, following an 18-month investigation by Mario Monti, the EC Competition Commissioner. It is understood that both France Télécom and the French government are appealing this decision.

I might be trying to justify myself.

However, I got into WoW very late (No shipping problem :p). My problem is that SA is always on the shyt list. Now why would I give a place like EA games or BT games or Take2 any money what so ever ?

I will miss out on the launch events and all this for what ?

Sorry but I will stand my ground on this. Who knows, maybe if it's around still in a few months I'll give it a bash

Let me know when you join in decemeber.. I'll help ya to level :D

:D:p

I'll let you guys know. I have been really looking forward to this game for as long as I can remember. But this has just left a seriously bad taste in my mouth :(

So just because the game is slightly late you are just not going to play it at all?!
Im sorry but that sound pretty childish to me. Specially if you say you have been waiting for "sooo long" ... wait a couple days more. Its worth it. Otherwise copy the client from someone and buy an online key. There are ways and means ..sitting on a pile and sulking unfortunately isn't one of them. And you wont be spiting anybody, you will just be loosing out.

I drove 50km to get the client on Friday night from someone and now im having the time of my life.

It's called first impressions.

With service like this, I wonder what the ingame support is going to be like

Childish maybe. But I have a game to play, they should have done a little more to win people over from WoW. They got everything right it seems, appart from the client services point ;)

According to the forums at http://www.warhammer.co.za the delay is in customs. Not too sure how much of this is EA's fault.

Well admitedly the EURO launch was terrible. The US launch was very smooth. The US -also- had to clone servers fairly early on the weekend.

On the Euro side, the account website is still not working and it's pretty much dysfunctional..but as long as your key is in, you should be fine for the 30 odd free days. Too bad for them as they obviously did not force you to create a sub already (so no cc details required).

On the US side their website is a simple "master account" site, where you just add your Warhammer licenses. If you played DAOC then you already have that account.

I'm gonna PM you now :P I'm in Centurion and need the client.

[edit] lol.. just received sms from BT Games that the game is now in warehouse . But they will only make it avail on 25/9 instore cause of morrow being public holiday.

Just got the same message.. Lets hope though that the dont cut us off tomorrow, but online on the 25th. Should give us enough time to grab the game on Thursday and load the key during the day

Easy for them to say that. Think about it....

They don;t want people to download the client and buy CD keys. They promise you it will be in stores in 2 days. You decide not to download it becuase it's only 2 days and 15GB is a huge download. What do you think they will say the 25th ?

I don't believe it

I'm still carrying on with my download regardless, and have organised keys from a friend in the UK.

Pre-order copies should be available if you selected to collect in-store (Phone your store to check). Delivery copies will only be done on thursday due to courier services.

I think SA must be the only place where courier services dont work on public holidays and weekends? Last time DHL told me they couldn't deliver to my house because it was a holiday, even though the tracking details said they had, had it for 3 days, I nearly stuck my foot through somebodies head... I must admit I did get my package, even if it was at 10pm that night. But I tipped the guy very very well.
