Okay, so according to Zille the ANC has wasted about a billion rand on bling...how many RDP houses could have been built with that?
 
At least they are sought of admitting that they are corrupt.
But hopefully one day they will actualy take the blame themselves.
 
won't happen as they are very proud of their culture and this is very much a part of their culture, you can just look at the rest of Africa, never do they take responsibility and always blame somebody else for their screw-ups.
 
Ag, I have given up. If only we could have a decent honest political party in power, we could all die from shock and then wont be subjected to this crap anymore :P
 
Read an article in a local newspaper (can't remember which one) the headline read "Corruption is in the bones of the ANC". Then we get fed rubbish like this. Sounds like someone is trying to shift focus from poor service delivery AGAIN.

The problem is that this isn't true.

There is this myth about "uneducated masses" but even the educated, middle class guys vote for the ANC because they simply feel there is nobody else to vote for. Most black men would never see themselves voting for Helen Zille because they have a deeply mysogynistic culture and could never see themselves being "ruled" by a woman. The loyalty to the struggle movement is also a big issue. Then you get the people who believe that the ANC is bigger than the corrupt racist idiot who run it so they still vote for them. If you were to ask the black folk who post on MyBB who they vote for I'm pretty sure the vast majority would say the ANC.

Face it, white South Africans have "The devil made me do it." black South Africans have "Apartheid made me do it."

It is especially rich.. coming from those who literally sell their morality for material ownership.
 
So once again, we need decent black people with a drive and a desire to serve the country to get there...And I do believe we have people that fits that, but making it, they won't. A dolphin in a tank of sharks will not make it. Would take a miracle.

At the same time, the lone voice is driving an expensive automobile and lives in an expensive house and strikes for bigger bonuses for doing their basic job ...

I wonder where did the rest of Africa inherit their corruption from and why haven't they been able to get rid of it after so many generations - even Liberia after 200 years of independence is still riddled. I suppose it must be a genetic inheritance and quite a stubborn one because its seems to get stonger.
 
ANC is lying. The white NP government was not corrupt, they were discriminatory towards blacks (and other races) but they weren't corrupt in that the different apparatchiks and leaders didn't enrich themselves at the cost of their country. On the other hand, the ANC has shown to take corruption to a new level. This is again - blame apartheid. This will work on most black people in SA but it won't work on the world.

Damn why am i even bothering reading media headlines these days?

If you ignore the sensationalistic headline and read the content, the dude is actually talking sense........ blacks have become extremely materialistic (because they didn't have anything in the past ) and we all know it, they rather drive a BMW than invest in good Education or a good solid House for their kids. THAT is the message of the report....but annnyway...i sometimes wonder if the media is not intentionally putting the spotlight on certain things to give a rise out of us, i'm sure as hell getting sick of it.

Just the mere fact that they keep reporting on Malema -every day- tells me the media is just out there to piss everyone off. The best we [everyone in the country] can do is to start ignoring these Gossip Gutter reporting style. Even Rapport is truly pissing me off being such a Pony Paper no better than Huisgenoot magazine.

Let's not bring RACE into the issue. This is ANC corruption and not 'black' corruption. Let's keep racism out of this, the ANC already brought a ton of it to replace what the NP had.

huh? the article IS ABOUT RACE, or did you also stop reading at the headline? I'm not bringing anything new into this conversation, RACE was already here...

Let me quote from the article:
