Morning and welcome! Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it.

We're using Teams for our internal comms as well, and not picking up on any issues. But I don't see us connecting to the same server as you (as would be expected). However, we seem to be on an EU region and you seem much further based on that IP (US I presume). Unfortunately Microsoft handles all their own routing globally, we handover all Microsoft traffic on peering in JHB and CPT, and receive it back via the same routes. There could be some strain on their network/servers at some point. They have been under pressure with something like 40 million new signups last week alone (probably more now). I would suggest looking into having your Office 365 instance migrated to EU regions or if possible, South Africa. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/moving-data-to-new-datacenter-geos.

~12mil new users ( Up from 30mil total),they've had to implement a few fixes to try mitigate big load increase on 365 and Teams
Also North Europe DC ran out of resources,so they are slammed

That said our entire technical team are on permanent Video VCs in Teams and no issues sofar

Hi @websquadza

Dropping a lot of international packets?
Need to be able to work.

Any ideas?

Can you please provide me with an IP to test to and region? 3 Transit providers and almost 2 million routes make up international, so anything to narrow it down really helps.

Ah, thanks for the correction. I must've misread the headline! Nonetheless, massive numbers for any service to handle. Impressed how well it's doing so far!

Indeed,30%+ workload increase is a big hit,and it's probably multiplicatively compounding with every other app switched

I tried again to coreix, it was much better, 22 up 66 down and a ping of 160. I am in Weltervreden Park. I am gaming, so I was getting disconnected from game on a London server, but in the last 20 minutes or so, they seemed to have stopped

Definitely. I don't know if you receive Office 365 announcements? But I've seen that they have reworked background tasks on many different platforms like Sharepoint and OneNote over the past week to reduce the burden on their infrastructure.

That's still quite low, considering I'm getting close to 200 Mbps for Coreix from my link and over WiFi.. Weltervreden is on a different Vumatel master node to me though.. Will definitely keep an eye on it. @Deadmanza what area are you in again?

Seems there is nothing you can do about the WoW pings. Managed to track down a network tech and its a mix of blizzards anti-ddos stuff they implemented for warzone causing the battle.net drops (its a known issue at the moment), as well as internal load balancing within the blizzard network that causes the massive ping spikes, but they should only last a minute before reverting :( Annoying but oh well

Any reason for higher pings to london ? This is normally around 170ms
