This is peer traffic- carried by AWS, they won't switch back to WACS until it's "officially" repaired (IE, soak testing is complete and it's confirmed stable). WACS need to issue a statement to these large network NOCs that the repair is good, then they will move traffic over.

It looks like Majority of 10 Mbps services have been migrated. Vumatel estimates that over 50% of the network has been upgraded already. We've received some really great feedback from the team at Vumatel now and will release official statements later this evening.
I'm guessing there has been official confirmation as Telkom transit also switched over to WACS. London latency went from 172ms to 162ms. Probably SAT-3 to WACS.

Ending the week with some good news.
WACS is officially back online!
Vumatel have completed upgrades of almost all their 10 Mbps clients to 20 Mbps (this is about 50% of the user base). The last few will be completed over this weekend. All GPON clients, as well as trenched clients in a few technical areas on 20, 50, 100 and 200/20 Mbps packages will be upgraded over the weekend.
Finally the great news: The Free line upgrades on Vumatel have been extended to 30 June 2020! I think this more than makes up for the delay in getting you up to speed! Thanks to the teams at all the FNOs for their tireless work this week!

Not here. Still 190ms to London and 260ms to New York... Vumatel trenched Durban
Any server I can test to? Seeing +- 160ms to London on our looking glass.
Just selecting servers on speed test app...London server was coreix and another..then tried optimum online and another in New York..both gave same pings
Here is again latest tests done,notice download speeds are also like half upload on both

My latency to coreix used to be about 162ms. Now it’s 186ms. Better then it was when WACS was down but still not where it should be.
