Nice one if you can have it, but surely you don't need a 1Gbps internet service at home? What do you guys use it for? I am on Openserve so don't have that option, but I downgraded from 200mbps to 100 cause I don't see the use case.

I know bigger is better but why?

As someone that barely uses gigabit, having that extra kick during game updates when I decide to hop on late in the night makes it a simple case of going to make a cup of coffee, coming back and it's ready to play.

Other than that my peaks are around 70mbit during normal daily usage (Netflix ,YouTube, etc).

A waste of money if you have the patience, but it's not much more expensive than a 200 or even a 100mbit for 5x or 10x the speed.

Fair enough, that resonates with me. I remember times when a game update would take me 24hrs, I would have to wait till the next day to be able to play

Nope will be in effect from the 1st
No it won't vuma will need to up date the speed so might take a day or 2
Well, according to all ISP notices that provide service on Vumatel, the new speed upgrades will take effect on 1 July.

I think Aerial will be nice and quick. Hopefully same for trenched. We've been through this dance with Vumatel a year ago; so we're being a little more cautious and advising that changes may take a few days to show. PPPOE (GPON) package profiles have already been adjusted on our end.

order in, lets see when she takes effect :)
Welcome to the 1G club! Let the team know if you want to be upgraded to 1000/100 tomorrow or wait for the 1st and be moved to 1000/200? Just send a ticket through.
