Its server issues check Twitter game went completely down last night. I am on a discord server with some EA people and last night took part in testing custom games and also the servers were just dying. The game servers are being hacked with the whole "savetitanfall 1" etc. Have friends in masters rank and every server is being ddos, game is just broken atm

Yeah I remember hearing about the hacks, but it doesn't seem to be the same issue. I'm playing with a friend on Cool Ideas and when I get Code: Leaf/Wheel/Whatever he's still in the game and playing fine, along with everyone else in the match.

I see there's plenty of people complaining so clearly a widespread issue. Weird that it doesn't affect some people though. One day Respawn will hire more than one person to feed the hamster that powers their servers.

It's a 50/50 thing my two friends on Cool Ideas last night both were messaging me on Discord both were crashing at different times and their Axxess friend on ADSL was fine. Then he started crashing and they were fine.

Remember that Frankfurt all traffic is handed to Amazon and Belgium is Google so at the end of the day you all using the same transit.

It's only really London and Amsterdam where ISP's carry their own traffic and most of it is handed over in London to another company.

Anyone else having crazy disconnect issues with Apex? Pretty much every game.

That was 8 hours ago. I'm not having any issues connecting to lobbies, I'm getting Code: Leaf/Wheel literally every game.

I believe Cryptic is in CPT and he uses it sometimes so I'm sure it does.

They do have CT node, they use to use Seacom for everything but seem to have a mix of Seacom, Workonline Communications and then anoher provider

They peer with Google in London so ping to Belgium is better from CT than other ISP's as well

Just played a game with WARP, code: wheel within 3 mins of playing a game. Definitely a Respawn problem.

DNS and IPv6.

@websquadza this is a bit of an offbeat question. Until the day before yesterday I had a local PiHole for DNS to kill all the crap that come through the interwebz on my local network. But, then I spilled a cup of coffee on my desk and killed the PiHole (am an eedjut).

A new piHole will come along in due course, but in the meanwhile I have resorted to NextDNS using IPv6 (which I enabled on my router today).

So, IPv6 appears to work on your service over Octotel, but when it comes to DNS, with the router configured to use my NextDNS supplied IPv6 DNS Server endpoints, my local devices still seem to swap between your supplied IPv4 DNS servers, and the NextDNS IPv6 servers arbitrarily. This may be a fallback problem on the router itself, dunno yet.

I will do some more work on this when I have some time, and most of the time the router configured IPv6 DNS appear to be used on all devices locally. There may also be DNS cache issues.

Next step this side will be to disable IPv4 on the router (TP-Link Archer VR300) altogether to see what happens, but that won't happen today and some of the devices on my network are unlikely to like that very much.

For other folks who might be interested, the free default configuration from NextDNS is fairly comprehensive, but not as good as what comes out of the PiHole software by default.

Not a biggie, just thought I would ask for your thoughts...?

@websquadza Any info on Steam downloads being extremely slow. Vumatel Trenched gigabit and download speeds to steam all over the place - between 250KB/s to 10MB/s random spikes.

Edit: Download speeds mainly hanging around the 3-4MB/s, with drops into the 0.5MB/s and spiking to 10MB/s occasionally

Also been having issues with Apex for the past couple days. There would be a huge lag spike and I would get disconnected from the server even though I was still connected to Discord and talking with my friends the whole time.

It's quite infuriating that there's no option to reconnect anymore so you just have to take the elo hit. This was happening at least every second game but oddly I was the only one getting disconnected when it happened even though my friends felt the lag as well.

My friend is on Afrihost VDSL and I'm on Openserve fibre with CISP, he lives not too far from me and didn't have issues so it must be a server problem. Our friend from Germany that was playing with us was also fine as well.

It's not an internet thing, it's a them thing, they said there is going to be a second patch to hopefully fully fix it but currently if it happens to you there is nothing you can do.

Two of us have no issues and then our third friend can play for maybe 15 minutes before it disconnects him.

Yeah there are dozens of threads on reddit with people complaining about the issue. I think there is some user-specific component to it, seeing as it doesn't happen to everyone, but nothing within our control to fix. Same thing as you, I play with a buddy, he's had it happen maybe twice in the last 2 days, I haven't been able to finish a single match. Super frustrating.

Was hoping they hotfixed it sometime yesterday but I guess they're as clueless as always.

On a related note, NordVPN is absolute garbage for gaming, but I don't get Code Leaf/Wheel. I suspect something about the routing some ISPs utilise and the anti DDoS'ing protections Respawn put in place 2 days ago is not playing well.

EDIT: Nevermind, got a Code: Wheel. Respawn is just incompetent.

Still having critical sites blocked due to the DDOS protection I'm apparently triggering with 30 connections to NNTP servers I guess.

Not sure why this suddenly started happening, hoping support can shed some light on this.
