Hi Web Squad, is there any specific reason that rt.com is blocked or unable to load, all other sites are fine and can load on my cell 3G fine so it's not the site:

Site wouldn't be blocked on our end - that error is usually if the site rejects the connection (try reboot your router for a new public IP) or MTU prevents a SSL handshake. If I remember correctly, rt.com is sensitive to MTU issues, so it's likely that.. I've tried now from my side and it opens fine. Netflix.com is also sensitive - can you check if you can open that? What router are you using?

Thanks, it loads fine now and Netflix too, I am on your Tenda router

Anybody else noticed Single connection download and upload speeds (especially using SSH/SFTP) to international sucking the past 2-3weeks ?

I get dismal speeds ~ 1-4mbps and noticed a constant 1% packet losses to France and USoA ping points, but when I do multiple (like20-30) connection downloads (using like lftp to the same places) I can get "full" 200mbps speeds.

@websquadza I've already logged a ticket #378844 about the packet losses, with the last response from WS on 09/02/2022 (12:09): "We will respond soon"

We did see PL on one of our upstreams last week- but you’ll see above this was resolved. Apologies- your ticket should have been updated. Will look into this for you.

Could you update your ticket with FTP/SFTP details so we can look at these paths and packet loss?

@websquadza - there does seem to be something weird going on with single threaded international, seemingly as mentioned above. I usually see perfect speeds to UK servers even on single threaded but now download seems rather dismal.

Streaming from a UK server was also problematic last night, but Netflix or anything larger/with local caches is perfect. Haven’t had an issue with this in a really long time.

Happy to do other tests if it helps pinpoint things maybe.
Cape Town, Southern Subs, Octotel.

Thanks for this, will check it out. Could be related to last week's changes. Will get some feedback during the course of today - just have the team testing from our end first.
