I've noticed a blip or two with Google since the last outage, but nothing a reload didn't fix and nothing for the past 2-3 weeks. Definitely nothing on this level- from the sounds of it yours is very frequent?unrelated to the previous, is there still a problem with Google services generally? YouTube buffering, Keep not loading, etc
@websquadza
Please log with support as usual. I believe there are techs in the area doing some restorative and preventative maintenance - another client nearby confirmed he saw some techs working on the infrastructure. I'm not 100% sure your address is within this scope though. So as usual, log and we will escalate.Fibre again down, Vuma Trenched, Bellville , Bo Oakdale
I agree with this, been having random slow downs as described.I am also noticing either DNS or Google services struggling over the past week or so, videos get delayed on Youtube before loading and websites have a pause before loading, something definitly feels off

Can you check which DNS servers you are being issued and try switch over to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 if you get a chance? If we see any improvement, we'll send Google a ticket.I agree with this, been having random slow downs as described.
DFA are experiencing a major fault in Gauteng North (Tshwane, Pretoria East, Pretoria West and Centurion). Multiple services still affected, including a large number of Vuma Village backhauls. No ETR as yet.My Vuma Fibre has been down since late last night in Centurion. I have logged a ticket, curious if anyone else here has issues.
I'm also noticing this on my TT Connect line. YouTube struggles to load, well really any Google service. My DNS servers are currently set to 1.1.1.1 with 1.0.0.1 as backup as well as Quad9s main and backups. Tested with and without Google DNS as well and no improvements. Been experiencing for a couple days now.Can you check which DNS servers you are being issued and try switch over to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 if you get a chance? Currently using that DNS, the slow down happens at random. Only on Google services tho. Everything else loads just fine.Can you check which DNS servers you are being issued and try switch over to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 if you get a chance? If we see any improvement, we'll send Google a ticket.

If you can pinpoint anything, it will help. I've asked our team to be extra vigilant with Google services and report any issues internally. It's best to get a ticket open with Google early; their NOC usually denies any issue exists, then asks for more tests than a life insurance application (which takes time), pass the ticket team to team like a hot potato, and finally acknowledge the issue in broad terms. However, these niggles are similar to what we've seen in the lead up to last year's two major Google issues - so it would be great to try get on their case as soon as possible.Currently using that DNS, the slow down happens at random. The issue isn't to hectic, just an observation over the weeks noticing the slow down.
This means our cache is still in production for your content (which it should be and confirms what we see on our side, that traffic levels are still good). It seems more like backfill and non-cached delays. Will keep an eye on it from this side.160.119.230.XYZ => websquadza-jnb1 (160.119.230.0/23)
Comms will be sent out regarding Octotel's package changes as soon as our commercial team have a chance to finalise them. They are working on it, so expect the update soon.@websquadza - is there an update on new Octotel package pricing/speeds with their pricing changes that appear to be coming? I see it looks like my 100mb package has also reverted to 100mb already, not sure why that'd be the case with the special till the 28th?
