Oh well.. then in the end I was wrong... guess the ISP is kak after all.
Please do us a speed test during peak hours tonight, will you please

Sure, will do. I do expect it to drop during peak hours though.

@websquadza Why are FTTB accounts so damn expensive? As a small business owner I don't need static ip's, 99.5% uptime, cloud storage, uncontended etc etc All I want is fibre goodness at an affordable rate!! I'm dying here man!! All I need is 100/100, uncapped (probably use around 300gb a month) for anywhere under R2000...

The price disparity between FTTH and FTTB is extreme!!

Pricing comes down to the fibre provider offering available in the area. Drop me a PM with your office address to see what's available - there are a growing number of business broadband precincts coming online throughout SA.

Once we pay for a Metro Ethernet circuit, it makes little sense to deliver a sub-par internet product on top of that - the rands and cents savings doesn't make a it worth it. If we can deliver on a broadband circuit, we immediately pass the savings onto the client.

Connection is pretty stable, only a few latency spikes, and I didn't really notice them at all.

As OP of this thread I wanted to once again thank you all for the feedback. Unfortunately I can't give you all much update, but so far:

1. I've signed up with Web Squad. 200/200 line, but getting upgraded to 1000/100 on the 1st of May.
2. Vumatel Aerial did the installation in one day. Probably took them 2 hours.
3. Received the router from web squad yesterday.

I can't do speed tests yet, as I'm not living in the house where the fibre was installed. That house is currently being renovated, so the router from web squad had to be sent to my current location. Currently where I am, we have a 100/100 fibre package with OpenServe/Telkom. The fibre with them works but it's shaped and throttled, so I wanted to look into another ISP. Initially I phoned CISP but their customer service threw me off when I spoke to them over the phone and through email. Then, I placed an order through Afrihost but never paid because again, the customer service threw me off. Then, Supersonic offered me their "free" trial, but I decided not to go with them. Having gone through these three mentioned ISPs I wanted to test their customer service before committing to anything, and I was not satisfied to the level that I'd have liked.

One day through a Google search I found Web Squad, but I've never heard of them, that's why I came here to ask about them. However, before starting this thread I spoke to a lady that works there and she explained everything well to me because I'm THAT person that is like "I see on your website this & this & this, care to explain?". The lady even phoned me back within 5 minutes to answer another question of mine. Since that day until today I've never been left out of the loop, and even had a nice discussion with @websquadza during that time on MBB.

I'd say I'm 95% happy with everything. The remaining 5% will be determined when we move into our new place because I'll test the speeds to the best of my ability. Thanks again and let's keep being honest about any/every company. We're ordinary people that pay for a product & service, therefore I enjoy the forums because everyone can share their experience with company A, B, or C.

Hmm.. on the 1GB account from 40minutes ago now..
Speeds are confusing, thought local was 1GB's ? Or am I just moaning to moan?
