It was quite strange, some sites were flying, others dead, and rubberbanding in multiple games
Yeah, hard to put my finger on it exactly, was streaming a presentation just fine for the better part of 1h30, but then I tried to download the latest iOS update and got "7 days remaining" and things like that.
Have noticed some weird buffering on Youtube on occasion in the evenings, but haven't got any conclusive evidence on any of these, so don't want to specifically raise an issue here.
Will try collect some stats/tests if it crops up again.
Yep was getting very erratic pings, seems better now though.
Also MyBB was taking ages to load pages.

If and when these happen, please let me know. Not much to go on, but I do understand the gist. Problem is for now, we can't see a pattern. IOS updates are served through IS's network as well as Apple peering in JHB, Google (and their services) have their own set of issues since Feb in JHB (affecting all ISPs who peer with them) and are down more than they are up locally (usually traffic just goes to London and it's good, bar the higher latency). But examples help narrow down potential issues.

I am experiencing poor connectivity issues to Ubisoft/Division 2 servers. Can hardly play slowdown is bad.

Although I’m not a gamer, I’m also experiencing slow international connectivity. Buffer galore!

Same here to fornite servers 1 to 2% loss

OK, Isolated the issue to an edge router in JHB - the problem router has been isolated and removed. Apologies for the delay here, tracking down this issue took longer than we'd have liked and we had to resort to A/B tests (changing configs and comparing results) to find this particular one. Will work with the vendor to understand what happened and design against it in the future.

I’m still experiencing major international buffering issues with RD. Do you have any ETA on resolution.

Issue should be resolved, seeing 0 loss and speeds to the UK back to normal - how's your RD direct downloads looking?

This on a 1gbs line... very very bad. Not a happy chappy at the moment...

Don’t think it’s resolved bud. When I get close to 500Mbps then it’ll be resolved.

Test to speedtest.lon.websquad.co.za please? This is a digitalocean server and usually quite indicative of performance to the UK and onwards. As well as test coreix London. I'm getting 206 Mbps to Coreix over Wifi on my cell right now on a vuma line.

Edit: Any chance you have a dongle and cable to test with as well? Just to eliminate wifi before we start looking at your last mile.

Both on my cabled Mac.

Dude, I used to get around 500Mbps on my iPhone X to London. Nothing has changed on my end.

Coreix is lower than I'd hoped to see, but also down this end - not very indicative right now. But that singlethread to the digitalocean server is about as good as we've ever seen (I think they cap vms to about 350 mbps). RD still not working despite that? Have you checked HTTP downloads directly? I'm seeing 9-10 MBps on these, which should allow streaming.

Trying to see if it's not last mile, and the coreix result says yes, while the digital ocean one says no. So trying to narrow it down a little.

I haven’t checked http downloads, I don’t often download, I usually stream RD through TV Zion on my Shield TV and never had an issue till today.

I can run speedtests but I can see and feel through experience that my internet is slower then usual.
