Little bit of good news - Vumatel have officially announced an extension to the 1 Gbps promotion; it's been extended until 31 December 2021
@websquadza My 1Gbps line is now averaging 250Mbps, is it an issue i should log given that the 1 Gbps promotion has been extended ?

P.S I did not receive the call about downgrades and my line was running at 1Gbps until i switched to a new router to test, reverting back to the original router has speeds still stuck at around 200Mbps.

I’d say report to support.. Run the usual handover test first (connect directly to CPE and visit shop.vumatel.co.za and choose your local speedtest server) just to make sure, and speed up the ticket process.

Just for clarity (we’ve seen some confusion in this regard): All 1Gbps Vumatel lines are still 1Gbps; Vumatel extended the promo pricing and we will stick with the promo too.

Is it working for you? Nothing happens with durban, opens a blank page. Tried brave, chrome and firefox.

Working in JHB (though not logging tests all the time, which is a bit of a pain because Vuma comes back and says clients haven't run the test). First I hear about KZN. Any other trenched KZN clients struggling with the handover test?

Can you confirm the address for it. My vumatel shop no longer has that link to check the speed anymore. Was it www.isp-handover.speedtestcustom.com
 
No Network notices from Vumatel yet, please send in a ticket to support.
Thanks for the quick response - I did a router reboot and all is back to normal again. Not sure if someone at Vumatel fiddled while it was busy rebooting? Let me know if you still want me to submit a ticket but all is back to normal now.

If it's all sorted, there's no need to send a ticket. Could be a switch at the POP that rebooted or a tech working at a cabinet who mis-patched something.
