Having intermittent problems with YouTube where it keeps buffering (using WebSquad on Frogfoot). Can get around it by connecting to a VPN that runs on xneelo, but that isn't ideal.

What area are you in? Do you have IPv6 enabled?

Cape Town, and I don't have IPv6 enabled.

IPv6 is something I do want to try sometime, but it always feels like asking for trouble in terms of inviting these kinds of problems and the payoff i.t.o. networking practice is probably not worth it.

What’s the output for the following? https://redirector.googlevideo.com/report_mapping?di=no

No concerns around IPv6- it simply works. Doesn’t introduce any additional risk/headaches and generally removes headaches caused by NAT.

This looks right- it’s their JHB node. Not seeing any issues on our Google ISP portal with regards to traffic volumes, but digging around a little. Is the issue still ongoing?

Thanks seems ok again now. It's been a bit weird over the past few days with this same kind of intermittent wobble, but will share some YouTube network activity stats if it happens again.

Thanks- will keep an eye on things as well. But I think it may still relate to their issues earlier this month. If you can send stats, we can forward these on to google as well.

That said- the issue with your complex seems to be internal. Likely that the Vumatel techs were not able to access the complex and now need to schedule with a resident to gain access. Unfortunately their procedure here means they need to revert to NOC, schedule a visit and come back.

Forgot to close this off here.

Must commend Vuma. They came out on the Sunday and did a temporary fix in the rain. Due to heavier rainfall overnight, the fix gave out on Monday about 8am, but they were back within a couple hours to reroute a new cable so that it (hopefully) doesn't get damaged again.

We received the comms yesterday only, so our commercial team is working on it. But speed upgrades are on the cards as well as some new packages! We should send out official comms before COB tomorrow.

@websquadza Mentioned this issue in regards to my OVH dedi in Gravelines, but it's also happening on Discord to Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
