Man Vuma are having never ending issues as of late... Any word on openserve going Gigabit?
There have been more headaches than usual. But between a network migration to a new core switching platform (which is a good move) as well as the ongoing DFA headaches, load shedding, network changes and change of guard (Britelink taking over maintenance, AEX (PaaS for core network, is no longer a separate company), there are a ton of backend changes that are all adding up to these niggles. The new network management team is pretty good though, some good minds driving it all - so I'm hoping these issues are more transitory than permanent.

Some good news: Openserve have extended the free double up promotion for another month! so 25 and 50 Mbps clients will enjoy double up speeds for a little while longer!

With regards to an overdue Openserve 1G product announcement; crickets sadly.
Yeeeeesh........

With regards to an overdue Openserve 1G product announcement; crickets sadly (I think it's largely related to their secondary town rollout plan and the fact that OS's network needs to deliver the same quality and speeds in Sanieshof and Tulbach as it does in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town

Vuma Randpark fibre completely down, is there an outage?
You all sorted here? Looks to have been an area outage, I see our Vuma link also went down for about an hour in Malanshof around this time, and no NWIs (scheduled or not) for the area.

Is anyone else facing some issues with streaming from Internation Services?

I've noticed since this past weekend that I am getting a quick buffer every 10 or so minutes. I use NordVPN to connect to the USA/UK, then stream from Peacock or ITVX/BBC. For the first time in a long long time, I keep getting a buffer that lasts about a second or two, and then the playback continues. It's a bit odd, so just checking

If you're connecting to VPN for these services, we generally hand over to these VPNs locally. That means your traffic is transited by the VPN from local peering to the international destination. Could be congestion on their transit paths. Have you tried another VPN?

Metrofibre 200 Mbps - You've been upgraded to 400 Mbps at no additional cost. Packages have been updated on our side, please be patient while your ONTs are reprovisioned by MFN

Frogfoot package updates - these are being implemented over the course of the next few days. Changes are complete on our side and your new speeds should reflect soon.

I’ll give another VPN a try. Thanks!

It looks like some router at NAPAFRICA forgot how send at least some IPv6 packets back to websquad. Here is a line from tcpdump:
